Prince signed up for rehab shortly before death

He had a pain pill addition.

The 57-year-old “Purple Rain” singer knew he was hooked on Percocet before his death, possibly of an overdose, last week — so he entered an out-patient treatment program, the Minneapolis station KSTP 5 Eyewitness News reported.

The superstar attended the unnamed rehab center to move away from using medication prescribed for his severe hip pain, according to the station.

Can we share a positive story about the man? He was far more than his death. He is a beautiful man who shared his gift with the world and he helped bring forth a lot of artists that needed a connection to the business. He was a graceful man who did not like the spot light, he had a soul that should inspire us all to become better people.

It’s the “media”, they only dwell on the negative since that is what brings ratings!

Pisses me off they are so dismissive about someone who meant a lot to the world.

While I thought he was a very talented songwriter, I didn’t care for his performances. Since I live in Minneapolis, it’s been like non-stop Prince songs performed by Prince. It’s a loss for music, but I’ll be glad when the news and radio move on to something else. Not even my favorite artists could bear up under this level of coverage.

I listened to everything I could after his death, I couldn’t get enough. I am sure you do not have that problem in Minneapolis, it sounds forced upon you there. It will calm down soon hopefully.

It’s been like the Twin Cities became OCD, and Prince is the obsession.

It’s like CNN with that missing plane – non-stop coverage and consulting psychics to find out the real story.

Now that is too much, when you start bringing in psychics, that is just like admitting you have nothing left.

But Miss Cleo says she’s the real thing!

An unexpected and untimely death….but most likely painless.
    Peace be upon him. RIP

Wonder if it was Hazelden? They hosted Liza Minnelli, James Frey, Calvin Klein, Chris Farley, Matthew Perry, Melanie Griffith, and Robin Williams.
