It’s too easy.

President Obama took a crack a Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz on Thursday during an impromptu news conference with college journalists at the White House.

A student from Indiana, where Cruz is campaigning ahead of next week’s primary, started to ask Obama a question about Syrian refugees when the president cut him off.

“I thought you were going to ask about basketball rings,” Obama said, referring to a gaffe Cruz made in the hoops-crazed Hoosier State.

His comment drew laughter from the packed crowd inside the Brady Press Briefing Room.
