Cruz crumbling

Posted by | April 27, 2016 08:44 | Filed under: Politics

Tuesday was a bad night for Ted Cruz and it may not get better.

There’s no putting a lipstick on this pig. Cruz’s numbers Tuesday night, like his numbers in New York last week, were beyond horrible. With six weeks to go before voting concludes, the man conservatives are hoping can overcome Trump with his clever delegate game and more serious mien is getting 10 to 15 percent of the vote in major states.

It isn’t only that the not-Trump vote is failing to coalesce around Cruz; he’s going backward.

And people are kidding themselves if they think Tuesday night’s results won’t have an effect on voters in Indiana and elsewhere.

it seems clear to me that the general public don’t not want Cruz to be president. By trying to pull tricks and hope that he wins at the convention is him admitting he can’t win on merits. And if he is trying to woo Carley, he has added problems too, the public didn’t want her either.

I find it laughable that someone in his position is actually talking about running mates. That’s like a man with one leg wanting to be a placekicker.

        Haha!

I assume that has something to do with sports? And if so, I would suggest with modern technology in artificial limbs……that the person in your example at least has a chance. Cruz has none unless he can successfully erase the will of the voters.

And a man with one leg may not see a handicap, Cruz has the kind from within and there is no fixing for that I bet.

Of course he would choose someone just like himself….as Carly took the temperature of the room with her tongue…

Cruz lacks any sense of self-awareness. In his deluded mind, being almost universally despised is somehow a good thing.

    • Larry Schmitt April 27th, 2016 at 09:23

He’s never known anything else. From all accounts, he was despised when he was in school. The question that arises is, why would anyone vote for someone like this?

      • clemans April 27th, 2016 at 09:46

only because they are batshit crazy or so worried about the crazy behavior of Trump?

        • Larry Schmitt April 27th, 2016 at 09:50

I meant why would they have voted for him for senator? Trump wasn’t an issue then.

oh. I see your point….I could give my best guess. batshit crazy

The Tea Baggers fudged the primary by running a long list of candidates, thereby keeping the favorite and more moderate candidate from getting the 50%+1 that he needed to avoid a run off. Then the run off was scheduled on the worst day of the year to keep the voter turn out low. It worked, Cruz won the run off.

        >>why would anyone vote for someone like this?

Are you aware of the southern tradition of tent evangelists?

They are very compelling figures for conservative Christians and Ted Cruz fits perfectly in that tradition.

“Hillary has chosen her VP. It’s Donald tRump”-Cruz’ zinger belly flopped like a Cruz / Hastert’16 announcement among Rafeal’s own crew. His inverse delegate game earned a mere 10 to 15% of the vote in major states. The Koch’s want their $890 M refunded.

How would you like to be a republican nowadays?? After a year and 17 different idiots running, Trump is the last man standing. Trump is the best they have!! These fools are flocking to support Trump, and he is offering them nothing. He has provided no policy, no solutions and no leadership about anything. It’s all about how great he is!! This is the greatest con job in modern political history.

    • StoneyCurtisll April 27th, 2016 at 13:52

if trump becomes the candidate, be prepared for the filthiest lowest kind of campaigning. The man is a vile piece of sht and will use any thing he can to degrade clinton.
