Target: Use bathroom that matches your identity
Target is making a statement in support of trans people, thankfully.
The Target chain of stores is joining the movement to provide inclusivity in what has once again become a focal point in civil rights debates: the bathroom. On Tuesday, Target issued a statement that said, “We welcome transgender team members and guests to use the restroom or fitting room facility that corresponds with their gender identity.”

I doubt if that many people would change where they shop because of something like that. Most of those boycott threats turn out to be hot air. Most people can’t be bothered.

Transgendered members of communities across America simply want to use the restroom meant for the gender with which they identify. It’s the holier-than-thou social conservatives who have perverted thoughts about the entire situation.
The Bible-thumping Republican governors’ and state legislators’ disturbing fantasies aside, which will be more uncomfortable for the residents of these states:
Having a person who appears to be a man (but is genetically female) using the men’s room … or the ladies room?
And of course, vise versa.
The only solution to implementing these idiotic anti-LGBT bathroom policies is to require that everyone who wishes to use a public restroom must first be willing to expose their genitals to the proprietor or security personnel.
I suspect that the only outcome that would truly satisfy these puritanical theocrats is the criminalization of being transgender.

Hobby Lobby is hiring Penis Police to guard against transgender men going into the children’s craft section. Chick-Fil-A calls them Pecker Police (for obvious reasons.)
