TMZ: Drug overdose days before death

Posted by | April 22, 2016 09:16 | Filed under: Media/Show Business News Behaving Badly

TMZ says its sources claim Prince was treated for a drug overdose days before death.

We broke the story … Prince’s private jet made an emergency landing in Moline, Illinois last Friday, hours after he performed in Atlanta. At the time his reps said he was battling the flu … something we questioned because his plane was only 48 minutes from home before the unscheduled landing.

Multiple sources in Moline tell us, Prince was rushed to a hospital and doctors gave him a “save shot” … typically administered to counteract the effects of an opiate.

Our sources further say doctors advised Prince to stay in the hospital for 24 hours. His people demanded a private room, and when they were told that wasn’t possible … Prince and co. decided to bail. The singer was released 3 hours after arriving and flew home.

We’re told when Prince left he “was not doing well.”

We know authorities in Minnesota are trying to get the hospital records from Moline to help determine cause of death.

I don’t believe it, he made fun of people for doing drugs and drinking. This is exactly what some people want to believe so they can belittle a musical genius that defied everything corporate America wanted him to be.

In this case, we should consider the source. I’ll wait to hear the autopsy results, if released. In the meantime I will not listen to the speculation.

Smartest way to take in information, speculation comes with so many vulgar aspects such as bias and prejudice.

I hope this makes you chuckle and ease the sadness

none of us are going to care much about what corporate America has to say, especially the nearly 20 million people who lost their jobs so that a CEO could get a bigger raise.

If you are a fan, mourn with friends, and wait until the autopsy is in.Listen again to the music and be glad that is left behind.

I have been listening to him since I heard about his death, his music has always made me feel good and I won’t be turning it off for some time now.

I can’t believe how much he meant to so many in the nation. Very sad that it took his death to get a break from 24/7 of politics

His death was so unexpected, it made me take a look to what he has meant to me in my life. He always makes me want to dance and sing when I hear him, he creates a positive environment for me. I didn’t realize till now unfortunately.

I think that is why as an adult, there is still anger at Tipper. I would understand that if it was the case. I just never knew much about him, don’t seem to be drawn to his music but am able to understand that nobody is required to like all the same music as others might. Much of the world seems to be in distress, and I am a care giver with no way to give care right now. Just can’t figure a way to bring people back to life.

Just by being a positive person you make people feel good. Our world is upside down right now, but we will come back. We have been in much worse circumstances, as they say, this too shall pass…..eventually lol.

well, positive is often who I am outside of my private life. SMILES

I hope you are correct about this passing. I hate US history at times when Americans hate Americans.

I have no idea — but I hate to see rumors being spread.

    • mistlesuede April 22nd, 2016 at 09:46

      Me too.

    • clemans April 22nd, 2016 at 12:15

I agree too. I hate it when liberals act like conservatives, when they are wrong. Maybe on this story we can all concentrate on the music and the good he seems to have done. While fans mourn, the doctors can do the autopsy and figure out what caused him……there would still be time to gossip after the facts are brought out.

No matter the cause, a lot of people are saddened by the loss of someone who was important to them. I hope he didn’t die from a drug overdose.

I hate to say it, but this does make more sense than the ‘flu’ excuse. I’ve worked in emergency medicine and I can’t think of a single flu-related issue that would cause a plane to land early, by just a few minutes, at some other airport.

    • eyelashviper April 22nd, 2016 at 13:08

He had a form of epilepsy, which could be bad if combined with a bad flu strain.

      • RandyBastard April 22nd, 2016 at 14:44

Ah… you are correct. Didn’t know that.
