Cruz defends Schilling

Posted by | April 21, 2016 16:34 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics

Ted Cruz is very worried that little girls will be molested in bathrooms by grown men.

He defended Schilling, too, saying he shouldn’t have been fired for “making the rather obvious point that we shouldn’t allow grown, adult men strangers alone in the bathroom with little girls.”

None of these people can come up with one instance of a trans-gender person molesting someone in a public bathroom. They’re not “claiming” to be the other gender to get free gropes. There are plenty of so-called “normal” people out there who turn out to be perverts, who do the molesting, of the same gender, or the other. Trans-gender people have a difficult enough life. No one would do that by choice, any more than someone “chooses” to be gay.

    • clemans April 22nd, 2016 at 08:02

they don’t have to come up with any case, don’t be as batshit crazy as conservatives are. If you are an adult, you have to know that not ALL cases of sexual abuse in the world have been reported, and you have to know that not every case ever reported is something you are going to know about.

There is a certain percentage of molesters or rapists, and there is no reason to believe that there won’t also be transgendered people who will molest children. There is also no reason to believe that a higher percentage of them would. It doesn’t seem likely to me, but it isn’t impossible. There is also no guarantee that female adult couldn’t molest little girls, or a male couldn’t molest little boys in a men’s room. We have to face facts, not use hyperbole to try to argue a point.

I am not worried about transgender people causing any harm. What I want to see is a way of going after any pervert who TRIES to pretend to be transgender in order to take advantage of getting that close to little girls or women in general. In too many areas, peeking toms get off with little or no consequences and all states don’t respond in the same way.

In fact, perverts have used all kinds of tricks in public to get access to private parts on females, cameras in changing rooms, holes being drilled into walls in gyms, cameras on stairs to get photos of women wearing panties and skirts or dresses……acknowledge THOSE issues, pass tougher laws on perverts, and stop making it about transgenders, they are in the same boat as most women, being in danger of being molested in some way by the real perverts.Women have more to worry about with straight men than they do with transgendered people…..and except for idiots like Palin, most transgendered people have more to worry over straight men as well. Imposing tighter laws on perverts would also protect transgendered people too.

I love that picture of ted, all that is missing is a halo…………….naaaaah, I am joking, he is hiding his horns.

    • Roctuna April 21st, 2016 at 19:02

I think he’s gazing longingly at his dildo collection (for educational purposes only of course).

      • whatthe46 April 21st, 2016 at 19:17

he wants to confiscate all dildos. he has a shed built on his property just for them and it’s impenetrable.

        • clemans April 22nd, 2016 at 08:04

the dildoes were sent to that group in Oregon so Cruz couldn’t get them……

did you hear what his college roommate tweeted?

        • Roctuna April 22nd, 2016 at 10:16

I read that banning masturbation would be a significant change in behavior for him. Was there more? distrusTed is slime.

          • clemans April 22nd, 2016 at 10:57

yes, that is the gist of it…..that it would be new behavior for him, something like that. He was funny to send it out. Wonder what ole Ted thought about that?

  5. Carla Akins April 21st, 2016 at 18:51

Of course he does, but then ESPN is entitled to protect their “brand” however they choose. I am certain there is a clause in his contract saying so.

    • whatthe46 April 21st, 2016 at 19:14

he has every right to be as ignorant as he so chooses, because it is definitely a choice. but, they can’t get all pissy at the consequences. just sayin’. cruzy found that out when he went all ignorant referencing NY’ers have no values.

      • clemans April 22nd, 2016 at 07:46

ZERO delegates? If it wasn’t for Trump I would get out my “I ‘heart’ New York” tee shirt and hoist it up my flag pole.

What is this obsession these republicans have with molesting little girls in bathrooms? I never would have thought of something like that when the idea of transgender bathrooms came up. Why wasn’t this a problem when we had men’s and ladies rooms? It never dawned on republicans that nothing was stopping men from going into the woman’s restroom (or vice versa) if he/she wanted to attack someone?

    • majii April 21st, 2016 at 23:39

I can’t answer your question, Bunya, but I will say that when my daughter was little, I never let her go into public bathrooms alone. I think most moms do that with their little girls. Some of them take their little boys into women’s bathrooms, and I have no problem with that because it’s for the safety of their child.

      • whatthe46 April 22nd, 2016 at 00:01

transgenders have been around for decades and not one report. Sherrice Iverson was a 7 year old child who was raped and murdered by
Jeremy Strohmeyer, in the ladies room of a Vegas hotel. there are 1000’s of transgenders in Vegas, but it was a straight 18 year old male that did this. there has never been a case in Vegas where a transgendered person has done this. the only ones who’s lives are in danger, are transgendered females. if they go into a males bathroom, due to this dumb ass law, it will be them who is attacked and it’s quite realistic to suggest it could end in rape.

Brandon Wilson, a 20 year old, murdered Matthew Cecchi by brutally stabbing this 9 year old to death in the mens room on a beach in Cali. he was only 9 years old. this too was NOT done by a transgendered person, but rather a straight male.

i too, like everyone here, went into the bathroom with our children when they were little. but, i bet my last bottom dollar, not you, i know i didn’t, and not anyone commenting on this thread, first thought was, there maybe a transgendered person in their waiting to rape my daughter or my son.

        • clemans April 22nd, 2016 at 07:42

transgenders have most likely been around as long as humans have been on earth and clothing evolved to being different between men and women. It seems unlikely to me that it could only be decades old.

Transgendered people are not my main concern. In most cases they have been victims by straight people too.

          • whatthe46 April 22nd, 2016 at 13:18

oh i agree about the decades old. and i agree with the rest.

        • cwazycajun April 22nd, 2016 at 10:32

well if your looking for stupid laws look directly to a republicon to write it not to try to solve a problem but to create a problem where none existed in the first place…but to actually solve a real problem well they cant be bothered with that

          • whatthe46 April 22nd, 2016 at 13:10

absolutely. this happens so very often.

          • clemans April 22nd, 2016 at 14:19

it honestly isn’t that they can’t be bothered, they mentally aren’t skilled in areas needed to process complex thought. In a liberal brain, more parts “talk” to each other so we are better able to see how one thing happening here can impact things in other areas plus into the future. They are not able often to do that, they miss being ale to connect things. Their focus is often on fear, the less support there is to justify fear, the greater their fear and the more they cling to it, look at how the coped with same-se marriage. They said gay marriage would end marriage…..and the world It didn’t do either but it hasn’t stopped them fearing it. So bad now some are admitting that the weather is getting worse, god’s payback for gay marriage.

      • clemans April 22nd, 2016 at 07:39

I never wanted my little boys to use the men’s room without a male from the family with them.

      • Bunya April 22nd, 2016 at 09:54

It’s only common sense that a concerned mother or father not allow their small child to use the restroom unattended,. They want to protect their child from unscrupulous people, not to target gays and/or transgender people.

  9. majii April 21st, 2016 at 23:37

Shilling is entitled to say whatever he wants to say. I have no problem with that, but his former employer, ESPN, is entitled to fire his *ss if he violated company policies. Cruz, Palin, and others who are crying about how “unfair” it was for ESPN to fire Shilling must realize that they can’t have it both ways. OTOH, they can’t celebrated the free market and OTOH say at the same time that a company operating in the free market shouldn’t have the right to fire an employee who violates company policies.

    • robert April 22nd, 2016 at 03:21

it all depends on what schilling and the company agree to prior to getting the job. Their signatures at the bottom of that agreement tells me they violated that agreement until i see them on ESPN in the future.
      ———–
Cruz, Palin, and others who are crying about how “unfair”

I fail to understand if cruz, palin ever read the agreement ?

    • bpollen April 22nd, 2016 at 03:43

A company’s loyalty tends to extend only until the negative publicity starts to hurt.

  10. cwazycajun April 22nd, 2016 at 10:29

didn’t shit for brains sarah palin spout something about this ..blah blah blah tryin to stay relevent blah blah give me money blah blah blah drumpf for something blah blah blah

  11. noshel April 22nd, 2016 at 11:54

Ted Cruz is a clown. I wonder what he would do if one of his daughters grow up and decide to have a sex change. I guess he probably would shoot her before he accept her!

    • Merlin April 22nd, 2016 at 12:34

No, suddenly Cooz would issue a statement that all transgender people are just OK.

  12. OldLefty April 22nd, 2016 at 12:23

I agree with Cruz; This guy should have to use the “bathrooms with little girls.”
    After all, it’s on his birth certificate;
