Gay North Carolina waitress ‘tipped’ with Bible verse calling for her death

This is the Christian thing to do.

“I’ve heard of people leaving fake money, or writing funny stuff in the tip spot of a check,” Alexandra Judd told WBTV-TV. “But [I] never believed it would happen to me, in the way that it did.”

Judd posted a picture online of the bill from the group’s visit to her Charlotte restaurant on Tuesday. The photo shows an abbreviation for the Old Testament verse Leviticus 20:13 listed under “tip.” It states, “If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.”

The bottom of the bill also shows the message, “Praying for you” written in under the diners’ signature. She told WBTV that the group was “very rude” to her during their visit.

Actually this is not the Christian thing to do, because the New Testament supplanted the Old. “An eye for an eye” was replaced with “love your neighbor as yourself.” This would be the “Christian” thing to do, because so many of these people are “Christians.” But they are not Christians, nor are they Christian.

Actually, if one takes the Bible quote literally, it only applies to a man. So lesbians are off the hook.

How accurate is this translation compared to the original text? Whoever translated it colored it with his own beliefs. And what does it matter anyway, because the original text was someone’s opinion a couple of thousand years ago. Unless of course you actually believe it’s the “word of God.”

What for? The people who need to hear it aren’t listening.

as one who meets every biblical requirement to be a

      PROPHET
      OF
      GOD

I concur completely with your well thought out interpretation of the book.

Those who have done so willfully (‘specially if they did so while wearing MIXED FIBERS) are LIARS and have a special place in the lake of fire.

It is explicitly clear that this prohibition applies only to men, as it is worded quite specifically. There is no ambiguity. To many Christians, the Bible is “The Good Book” but it’s obviously not good enough for them to read it.

Hope they didn’t dine eat any pork products or wear any blended fabrics while they dined.

or eat shellfish or whatever they aren’t supposed to eat…….

Or “have sexual relations during the uncleanness of her monthly period.” There are pages of sexual prohibitions. They, and their god, were hung up on food and sex. Just like we are today.

did you ever see the book about living the Bible for a year? Not sure the exact title…..I think that men can’t be anywhere near any woman when she is having her period, because the guy wrote about the bad reception he had when he came up to women to ask if they were on their period on the subway and other public places…..and said he couldn’t sit in the same chair as his wife if she was having hers…..the book is hysterical

They treat women the way six year old boys treat girls – like they have cooties.

in my experience I have to agree with you.

Is NC that small that people would know her protest activities and where she works? That is scary. They can take their prayers and shove them where the sun doesn’t shine.

    • clemans April 15th, 2016 at 12:57

yes, and I have a pair of rubber gloves, trained as a nurse, I can help them get those prayers where they belong.

Somehow I don’t see religion and liberty marching in the same direction.

        Hi clems.

So being a cheap and judgmental prick is a biblical value now? It’s hard to keep up.

I must be missing something. How the hell did they know she was gay? That suggests to me that there had been some interaction with her and this group, maybe stuff was said on both sides, etc. Not excusing their behavior, but these horror stories about nasty notes on restaurant bills usually turn out to be exaggerations.
