Jane Fonda tells of role father played in eating disorder

The accomplished actress and lightning rod to the right-wing candidly discussed her issue with food.

“My father would send my stepmother to tell me to lose weight and to wear longer skirts,” the 78-year-old actress penned in a Lenny newsletter.

Fonda recalled that she eventually developed an eating disorder, something she had in common with three of her stepmothers wedded to Henry Fonda.

“One of my stepmothers told me all the ways I’d have to change physically if I wanted a boyfriend,” Fonda revealed.

    Henry Fonda was not a nice man. He treated his children with indifference and detachment and was probably a narcissist.
