Supreme Court to look at Cruz birther case
They may not take it, but they’ll consider it.
A Utah man has appealed his lawsuit against Ted Cruz all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court. And, get this, LawNewz.com confirmed it is officially on the court docket for consideration to be heard. In fact, Ted Cruz’s attorneys have until May 5, 2016 to respond to the petition for writ of certiorari. A cert petition is filed by a losing party in a lawsuit asking the Supreme Court to review a lower court’s decision. Of course, that doesn’t mean the Supreme Court will take up the case, they could deny it.

I admit to thinking there was nothing to this, but as usual, ugly facts kept rearing their heads,,,here are a couple of the tidbits that came out:
• 1. Raphael & Eleanor Cruz emigrated to Canada sometime in the 1960s and in 1968 Mr. Cruz became a naturalized Canadian Citizen. It appears that Eleanor by virtue of her marriage also attained Citizenship one year later and Raphael Eduardo (Ted) Cruz was born December 22, 1970. We have never seen their Marriage License so I am unsure of their actual date of marriage as both were in process of getting divorced.
• 2. Until the 1977 changes to Canadian Immigration Law, NO dual citizenship was permitted which means Mrs. Cruz relinquished her US Citizenship and Ted was born to 2 Canadian parents.
• 3. If she wanted to be sure Ted was American she needed to file a Consular Record of Birth Abroad (CRBA). We have never seen such a document.
• 4. Upon their return to the U.S. around 1974-1975 I assume Eleanor renounced her Canadian citizenship, reclaimed her U.S. and had Ted naturalized. Again, no documents have ever been released.
I paid attention to the Birthers when they claimed O was not qualified, now I want to hear the explanation for these facts.

This is the goofiest group of RWNJ’s I’ve ever seen….they don’t think Trump, Clinton, Carson, Rubio, Cruz, Fiorina, Woodrow Wilson, or even Thomas Jefferson, pass the Natural Born Test…

SCOTUS: Your mom voted Canadian, renouncing her U.S. citizenship as then required?
Rafael: Scalia told me natural born is just like naturalized right!

I’ve researched this a little.
There is a substantive question about whether Cruz’s parents were Americans when he was born.
His dad clearly was not.
His mother might not have been, either.
At the time of Ted’s birth, his mother was a registered Canadian voter. Only Canadians are allowed to vote.
If she was a Canadian, then Cruz is not a natural born American.

He is not a natural born citizen just for the fact that he was not born here, he was a Canadian citizen until a year ago!!! the statutes of limitations ran out on that one a very long time ago.

Regardless of Cruz’s situation (I do not like the SOB) I think the question of what is a natural born citizen needs to be determined by the courts. This issue will appear again and again until it is settled by the court..

Most likely Cruzifer is a naturalized US citizen and, if correct, then he is not a natural born US citizen.
