Obama Easter message: ‘Openness to refugees fleeing ISIL’s violence’

President Obama has a Christian message in keeping with Easter.

“Our openness to refugees fleeing ISIL’s violence; our determination to win the battle against ISIL’s hateful and violent propaganda — a distorted view of Islam that aims to radicalize young Muslims to their cause,” are paramount in the fight, Obama told Americans during his weekly radio address.

Why won’t he just call them ISIS and say we need to destroy them? He wants to use weak language like ISIL and claim how we are determined to win against their hateful propaganda…….There, I wrote rumps next speech, how do I get paid?

Yes, if he would only say the magic words, “ISIS” and “Islamic Terrorists” all of the bad guys will throw down their guns and surrender, but that damned muslim lover won’t do it. /s

        You nailed it.

It’s idiocy to focus on which name Obama uses for ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh.

The important thing is to credit Obama for his effective strategy against them.

      >> Why won’t he just call them ISIS

Seriously? You think it matters what Obama calls them? ISIS, ISIL, IS, Daesh – all refer to the same group. It’s nutcase conspiracy theory to criticize Obama for which one he uses.

Wait, the Mooslim president gives a Christian message for Easter? Stop, you’re making my head spin.

I’m a devout, Evangelical Christian and I’m appalled at how my fellow Christians are rejecting refugees.

Welcoming the “stranger” is a major theme in both the Old and New Testaments.

      Numbers
9:14 And if a stranger shall sojourn among you, and will keep the passover unto the LORD; according to the ordinance of the passover, and according to the manner thereof, so shall he do: ye shall have one ordinance, both for the stranger, and for him that was born in the land.

      Leviticus
19:33 And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him.
19:34 But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

      Deuteronomy
10:18 He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment.
10:19 Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

Cafeteria Christians just pick the parts they like or that justifies their bad behavior.
