Take that, you Second Amendment haters!

LaPierre spoke at Liberty University yesterday, where he told the students gathered for convocation that American gun owners are smarter than everyone else and are perhaps some of the smartest people in all of human history.

“So many of those elites, they think they’re better than us,” he stated. “They somehow think they’re more sophisticated. They think they’re more intellectually evolved somehow than we are. Or they think they’re just somehow plain smarter than we are. Well, I’ve got news for the elites who look down their noses at all of us and our rights: we gun owners are a heck of a lot smarter than you’ll ever be. It’s true.”

    For some reason I don’t believe that bubba Georgia who recently blew his leg off by shooting into 3 lbs of explosive is smarter than me. Ditto for all the “smart” people that shoot themselves or neighbors while cleaning their guns.

      Or playfully point their gun at someone, only to find out it’s loaded, and they end up shooting them. That’s another thing I’m smart enough to not do, unlike all those “smart” gun owners.

    Hey Wayne? We are better than you. We haven’t decided we have to have a deadly weapon that we don’t use for hunting or self-protection, but only to enhance our own miserable self-esteem. And we haven’t “accidentally” shot someone with that deadly weapon because we weren’t smart enough to make sure the safety was on.
