Gingrich: Trump’s ‘inexcusable weakness’ on Duke could make him ‘unacceptable’

Posted by | March 4, 2016 09:51 | Filed under: Politics Radio Interviews

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich was on radio with me Thursday night.

GINGRICH: I think he’s really mishandled the David Duke thing. There’s no question he repudiated David Duke I think in 2000. He repudiated him last Friday night with Chris Christie. I have no idea what he was doing with on that stupid CNN interview, which I find an embarrassment.

COLMES: I mean he blames an earpiece, c’mon.

GINGRICH: I think he clearly has to be stronger and more clear about that. It’s the one really inexcusable weakness, he’s done a lot of weird things, but this is the one inexcusable weakness and it’s one thing that could make him literally unacceptable. Because people just aren’t going to tolerate any confusion dealing with the KKK and racism and people like David Duke. I was involved in fights over David Duke back in 1980, saying he can’t be a Republican, he’s a pure racist.

Looks like someone from up high in the GOP had a little chat with Mr.

    Gingrich…
He sure changed his tune from a couple days ago.

I had thought I heard that he endorsed him? Am I wrong?

I feel dirty since I agree with Gingrich!

Newt just used the words inexcusable, and literally unacceptable, to describe the candidate he supports…
