He is certainly the anti-GOPchrist. Today’s version of GOP christianity is a very bastardized version of what christianity is and should be. They probably also see the pope as being a socialist.
I have a fundamentalist Catholic relative who says this stuff too. Francis isn’t the ‘Anti Christ’ but he is the False Prophet spoken of in Revelation. By the way, she is bi-polar and has been in and out of loony bins for years.
Feel for you.
Having a family member who isn’t “right” is a heart-breaker (You love them, sure, but one more speech about how the Twin Towers were brought down by Jewish Nazis….).

I’m waiting for the “both sides do it” apologists to inform us as to just which liberal or leftist politician has accused an opponent of being a mythical entity.
In days of old, one would hear news, such as “Lincoln is a’freein the slaves!”.
Through the magic of”Chinese whispers”,aka “Telephone”,such news would eventually metamorphose into “Lincoln is arming the colored,and they’re agonna make us all slaves!”
At which point, sanity and reason would (usually) step in, and the person saying this would be told the true story from multiple sources before they had a chance to tell their fellow idiots, and take up arms agin’ the coming blackpocalypse,possibly hurting innocents in the process.
FF some years, and now these people have a forum which is not self-correcting, but rather indulges them in their BS.
I blame Bill Gates and Al Gore.
