It’s inappropriate to mix religion with politics.
If we don’t accommodate everyone then we should accommodate no one
Why do I have to be subjected to some ritual you perform for your imaginary god.. ???

They will have to fight fire with fire. Maybe the atheists will read “War and Peace” before each and every meeting? They need to be creative and find something that makes these “religious” types just as uncomfortable, or at least upset, as prayer does for anyone else who believes in separation of church and state.

I think that this might be a good conversation starter tomorrow morning at coffee with the rednecks and evangelicals. Just might start my day off with a bang.

Let us know how it goes.

It went as expected … they recounted
all the GREAT things Bevins has already done for “us” in his
first few months in office. He created an exception respecting Kim
Davis’ religious homophobia. He rescinded Beshear’s executive order
making it easier for felons to regain the right to vote. When a
Republican judge overrode the U. S. and state constitution to allow
the Ark Park to get $18 million in tax breaks, he said he wasn’t
going to contest the ruling. He’s working to get rid of Obamacare.

And my personal favorite line … “The damn pagan atheists should be fried up as appetizers”.

Someone actually said that? Pagans are completely different from atheists. They believe in one or more gods.

They know their version of religion, or at least pretend to.
Any other belief, or non-belief, not so much.

I hope the Satanic Church asks for a prayer breakfast. You’ll see the Gov shut this whole prayer business down right away.

It’s probably full of trans fats.

If it’s fun, it’s bad for you.

I agree with them completely, but it won’t go anywhere. The pointless prayer breakfasts will continue.

If ignorance and corruption were virtues, Bevin would be it’s poster boy.
