Remember when Mitt…um…*what’s his name* said he could bring the unemployment rate down to 6 percent?

Of course they are trying to take credit for it now. They say it is because they now have control of the house and the senate that things finally are looking good and wages are going up. I wonder how many people in the right-wing bubble are going to buy into that bs because they desperately want to? When you got nothing, take credit for someone else’s work, sure seems to be the GOP standard.

If they can blame Obama for the Katrina response, they can credit the do nothing congress for this.

        >>Of course they are trying to take credit for it now.

Remember when the GOP candidates laughably tried to take credit for Bill Clinton’s surpluses?

it was the bravery of the courageous republicans who fought against POTUS Obama every step of the way that ‘forced’ the Democrats to improve the US economy. If any one of them had faltered – just once – the Dems would have went right back to improving the economy to try and make the courageous brave patriotic republicans who wear their cheap made in China US Flag lapel pin look bad to the voters.

just imagine where we’d be right now if the republicans could have made POTUS Obama a one term failed president! Our wealthy citizens would be even wealthier – many Americans wouldn’t have to worry about their health – free fuel from Iraq would be hitting about $10 an ounce – everyone could keep track of the market on one hand –

………any minute now they’ll say the sequester did it….

        nope.

        this is Obamanomics

just like the republiKons was saying all along.

Yeah, and I recall the invented stat of “full employment” being 5.3% because that is as low as it got under Ronald “Dutch” Reagan.
Then along came Superstar Bill Clinton who got it down to 3.8% and all that talk about a 5.3% “full employment” rate went awayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Of course conservatives are complaining. This just shows how wrong they are.

    • Mensa Member February 6th, 2016 at 17:10

Conservatism is not a governing philosophy. So, all they can do is obstruct and complain.

Wages are going up, slowly and that is a bad thing to the repubs.

    • Mensa Member February 6th, 2016 at 17:17

More tax cuts for the rich should turn this around.

    • burqa February 6th, 2016 at 21:39

      Indeed.
Republicans have a habit of maneuvering themselves into a place where good news for America is bad news for the Republicans.

We need a lot of income growth to catch up. During Bush Jr.’s administration, wages fell after health care costs were factored in.
We need the kind of growth in wages we had during the administration of Superstar Bill Clinton, when median pay rose 14.5 %. Real income for median families rose twice as fast in Clinton’s 8 years as in the previous 12 years under Reagan and Bush Sr..

It is a “Liberal-Progressive” conspiracy to discredit ‘the trick down economic theory ‘
