Pastor Ted Sessoms of Arbor Springs Church in Samantha, Alabama, is angry over Christian pastors who advocate supporting Syrian refugees who are fleeing from terror at the hands of the Islamic State. The good pastor penned a letter in which he calls for murdering innocent people. The letter begins stating, “At the risk of being an…

Got news for you pastor, if you had been around then, god’s instructions to destroy would have included you.

Now, now…we’re liberals…peaceniks..those who see the good in everything…you know; “Bleeding hearts”.
We’re not supposed to lambaste or attack someone who hypocritically claims knowledge of “God’s plan”, and who teach their followers based upon corrupted interpretations of the Bible.
We’re supposed to understand and forgive them, not succumb to the burning desire to remove every square inch of skin they have with a red-hot flensing knife whilst rubbing salt into the exposed tissue and showing them videos of their entire family being gassed with Zyklon B accompanied musically by “Let the eagle soar” turned up to 11…
      It’s not our thing.

Sometimes it is hard to feel that though, we should get one day a month to vent IMO.

Might I suggest following him around while holding a sign that says:

      Answer hazy. Ask again later.

Ugh, I hated that answer. However, none of the other answers were correct so I guess they all kind of sucked to some degree lol.

It has been awhile since I was in Sunday school, but hating others didn’t seem like the feeling that I was presented. Pretty sure it was love for others, has the Bible changed?

    • Larry Schmitt January 30th, 2016 at 17:11

No it’s just not the same bible these fake “Christians” believe in.

    “these idol worshippers” ???
Ummm, you mean like crucifixes, saints, the 10 commandments (which forbid it!), you know, all those idols you worship that your god told you not to?

    A bloodthirsty pastor…

    • CandideThirtythree January 30th, 2016 at 21:00

Lots of them are…the ones who pander to bloodthirsty christian congregations… because it increases the deposits in the collection plates.

        Sad but true, I suppose.

I am beginning to think that when Reagan closed the insane asylums, they not only became republicans, they also invaded the Evangelicals…and became this guy….

  10. Bunya January 30th, 2016 at 18:45

Why the outrage? This type of rhetoric is par for the course for Christians. I guess they got tired of “scapegoating” the gays and have moved onto Muslims.

You need to narrow your critique of Christians to “most fundamentalist”.

The mainstreamers like me still believe in a God of compassion. We just don’t work our mouths as much.

      • Bunya February 1st, 2016 at 09:49

Well, when most Christians start practicing what they preach, then maybe I’ll narrow my critique.

Since Sessoms seems to love the OT, I wonder what he’d think about the part where God tells the Israelites to treat foreigners living amongst them well and to not abuse them? He also seems to conveniently forget that there’s a reason Christians are called Christians, and it’s because they are supposed to follow the teachings of Jesus that are in the New, not the Old, Testament. Whether he knows it or not, Sessoms is why more and more Americans are turning away from organized Christian groups. Why should they align themselves with individuals who subvert the teachings of Christianity by replacing them with their own non-Christian, hate-filled beliefs?

Another demonstration “good American Christian values”

  13. Chris January 31st, 2016 at 08:44

I’m with Akin. “Pastor” Ted Sessoms does not seem familiar with the Gospels; this is a deal-breaker in his line of work.

As a sidebar, the iconography in the still photo of multiple bald eagles and an American flag on his top shelf instead of Christian symbols should tell you all you need to know about this nutbag.

That pastor is a real piece of work. Wish I could say I was surprised.
