At this point I think it appropriate to quote Judge Judy Sheindlin: “How do you know when a teenager is lying? Their mouth is open and making noises.”
I wonder what tale Ms. Vicky will use when the FBI video is made public?
I understand the concept of confabulation and wishful thinking, but in this case I believe the young lady is simply lying her ass off. Generally people who say “I saw it! I swear to God!” are trying – a bit too hard – to convince you that they are telling the truth, a sure sign they don’t believe what they’re saying themselves. The truth doesn’t need exhortations to be believed.
