Iran “has opened a new chapter” in its ties with the world, President Hassan Rouhani said, in a statement released Sunday, hours after a raft of international economic sanctions against the country were lifted. Rouhani, who has made finalizing the nuclear deal the key issue of his presidency, also said that the agreement “does not harm…

Looks like the GOP doesn’t get their war.

      >>Looks like the GOP doesn’t get their war.

They won’t give up. Gulf War I just make them want to invade Iraq all the more. That first war was like an appetizer for them.

We need a second graphic of stacks of our money extending into space.

Four trillion dollars for their last wars. A war with Iran would be even more expensive.

The question is, would the corporate media publish those American coffins?

They sure did durring nam. But that was pre ronnie raygun.

14 years and 6 trillion dollars of neocon policy has gotten us nothing!

    Zero!

    Nada!

Even pond scum raygun knew diplomacy works.

    • Mensa Member January 17th, 2016 at 11:27

Worse… 6 trillion dollars and we are LESS safe.

      • anothertoothpick January 17th, 2016 at 11:29

Yes. I should have added that. Thanks Mensa.

Have you noticed that when the neocons “truth”is found to be lies, it makes them even more violent?

        • Mensa Member January 17th, 2016 at 11:39

There were a number of credible reports about how the neocons were making plans to invade Iraq even before GW Bush was sworn in.

And then, while the bodies were still being dug-out at the WTC site, these same neocons were plotting on how to leverage the 9/11 attacks to justify an invasion of Iraq.

This is just stunning. It’s sociopathic, really.

This is also the GOPs alternative is to an agreement with Iran.

This is _one_ trillion dollars, in crisp $100 bills stacked on pallets.

Now, picture five or six of these. (or much more, if a full nuclear war is triggered.)

    • Mensa Member January 17th, 2016 at 11:48

here is another graphic of a trillion dollars.

Remember, a war with Iran would cost MUCH MUCH more than a trillion dollars. Surely, more than the war with Iraq.

And it would be ALL DEBT. The Republican candidates have no plan to pay for the war(s) they so despertely want.

Just the opposite, they want to wage war and cut income to the government at the same time.

      • anothertoothpick January 17th, 2016 at 12:10

Hey Nensa I am not seeing you graphs?????

        • Mensa Member January 17th, 2016 at 13:42

Hmm. They are .png files. That could be an issue.

Picture a few cubic football fields of $100 bills.

Therefore, a trillion seconds would amount to no less than 31,709.8 years.

A trillion seconds ago, there was no written history. The pyramids had not yet been built. It would be 10,000 years before the cave paintings in France were begun, and saber-toothed tigers were still prowling the planet.

I want to take a moment and say… THANKS OBAMA!

    And I mean that seriously.

While his critics carped and whined and joyfully predicted a lame-duck second term, Obama has worked hard, kept his vision and made America and the world safer.

Despite ruthless and grinding efforts by conservatives to block him, Obama has left the country much better off than when he was first elected.

    Thanks, Obama.

IMO actions like this is why it’s important that Bernie is elected. We must keep the peace coming.

Proving again , you don’t have to be friends to work together (hint, hint , nudge, nudge to the GOP)
