Conservative actor Kevin Sorbo argued that New Yorkers were “looking to be offended” by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), and that “anybody” would have responded the same way to the 9/11 terrorist attacks. During a Republican presidential debate last week, Cruz had slammed GOP hopeful Donald Trump’s “New York values.” “Everybody understands that the values in New…

When people insult Washington they are insulting the seat of the government, not the people who live there. The residents of Washington are people, just like the rest of America, except they don’t have a voice in Congress.

“Anybody” would not have handled 9/11 by invading the wrong frickin’ country.

It took a Republican to do that.

    While conservatives cheered.

I’m done with these spectacularly-wrong conservatives finger-wagging at us liberals who are consistently right on the issues.

Anybody could’ve…but New Yorkers did…End of story.

And here we are, please tell me this is the bottom of the pit. We can’t get worse than this.

    • Red Mann January 17th, 2016 at 17:59

Come on, you know there is no bottom, it’s stupid all the way down. To paraphrase Michelle Obama, I have never been so ashamed of my country that there are so many cretins in it.

      • Suzanne McFly January 17th, 2016 at 18:49

        I guess I am hopeful.

        • Red Mann January 17th, 2016 at 19:01

I want to be, and I really hope enough rational Americans get off their asses and vote. If the Rethugs take over, our way of life may be wiped out. Regent and Liberty have been cranking out lawyers more dedicated to the Bible than the Constitution. They may well become judges and some have become legislators. A few of these guys in the high courts, including the SC, could have devestating effects. The military and law enforcement is riddled with fundigelicals. I really worry about a facist type theocracy controlled by the oligarchs. I think the upcoming elections are the key to America’s survival as a democracy.

          • Suzanne McFly January 17th, 2016 at 21:57

Each election has been getting more and more important. I try to get as many people as I can to vote, but we can’t force them to do their civic duty.

            • Red Mann January 17th, 2016 at 22:00

I know, but the little godbots will be marching in lockstep to the polls and vote as they are told.

            • Hirightnow January 17th, 2016 at 22:06

They should be FORCED to do their civic duty!…

I’m a lapsed mozzarellite, but other than that, I stick to doctrine(Pasta water in the sauce, rinsing the noodles forbidden, etc.)

                    • Red Mann January 17th, 2016 at 21:16

I was a Provolonian for awhile, but their Sauce was weak and they defiled the Holy Noodles with water.
May the Sauce be with you, ramen.

monique was blacklisted after winning an oscar because of her comments on the demands she felt were unreasonable, and people are giving this, worse than has been, and audience. for what? he should be blacklisted.

      • bpollen January 17th, 2016 at 18:15

If you badmouth dems or liberals or minorities and have ANY reason for notoriety, you can get on TV too. And if you are a minority and willing to do the badmouthing, you could be a whacked out street person and get on Fox.

  8. Hirightnow January 17th, 2016 at 18:25

    I like Kevin Sorbo.
I thought he was good in Hercules, and I thought he shined in Andromeda.
It’s good that he voices his opinion on politics, as is his right.
But I don’t get my political opinions from actors.
Just like I don’t listen to political candidates for advice on which movies to see.

    • whatthe46 January 17th, 2016 at 21:33

and you shouldn’t want to get your advice, especially a woman, on GOPissers view of healthcare when it comes to women.

  9. Gina Bousquet January 17th, 2016 at 18:44

That is being real mean to New Yorkers.

  10. mistlesuede January 17th, 2016 at 19:25

What a waste of good oxygen. Your reasoning is sorely lacking, the color blue? Really?
Do us a favor and go back to whatever it is you do and butt out.

the existence of a flabbier and ineffectual Heracles is offensive enough for NYC and the rest of the thoughtful world.

  13. JMMII January 18th, 2016 at 12:57

“New Yorkers were “looking to be offended”

That’s exactly bass akwards there, Herc. Cruz was looking to offend and get brownie points for doing it. The giveaway was him sleazily sucking up to the camera, nod-nod-wink. Too bad your brains aren’t as big as your muscles once were; you’d recognize a slimy lizard when you see one.
