Republican candidates now denied major talking point

Heads are exploding over on aisle right-wing over today’s wonderful news that five people held in Iran, including Washington Post reporter Jason Rezaian, who has been held since 2014. Take, for example, Marco Rubio’s press release pictured above, where he criticized the Iran deal for not including negotiations for the hostages. Proving, of course, that he…

GOP idiot candidates spout off, prove themselves to be fools.

  2. Hirightnow January 16th, 2016 at 18:09

I gloat. I laugh without reservation. I mock.
(Unkind of me, to be sure, but “Life”® has given me a pass, so if you don’t like it, apply to the manager.)

  3. Obewon January 16th, 2016 at 18:23

Obama delivers Worldpeace in another deathblow to ‘GOP in denial of factbased reality.’ Today’s repubs won’t ever depart from Cons always being on the losing side of history.

  4. nola878 January 16th, 2016 at 18:27

If it’s good for America and Obama did it, Republicans are against it.

    F*cking subversive traitors.

    • Larry Schmitt January 16th, 2016 at 18:54

It reminds me of what a Red Sox fan told me once. (I’m a Yankees fan) “I don’t care if the Sox lose every other game, as long as they beat the Yankees. I, on the other hand, told him, “If the Yankees lost every game to the Sox and still won the World Series, that would be fine with me. Republicans are like that Red Sox fan. As long as Obama fails, no matter how bad it is for the country, they’re okay with it. And if he succeeds, no matter how good it is for the country, they’re against it.

        Your story sounds familiar.

To the last, I grapple with thee; From Hell’s heart, I stab at thee; For hate’s sake, I spit my last breath at thee.
Herman Melville (Moby Dick and Wrath of Khan)

  5. Larry Schmitt January 16th, 2016 at 18:51

This won’t stop them. They still use Benghazi, even after the investigation found no wrongdoing.

    • Boltorama January 16th, 2016 at 19:51

An investigation carried out by a Republican committee no less.

      • TiredOldGuy49 January 16th, 2016 at 19:58

When the facts don’t fit the narrative, just change or ignore the facts.

That’s where Faux Noise comes into play. Tough loss to the Steelers. I wanted you guys to win.

Gave it away … lost 2 D coaches … Hue to the Browns (bad choice on his part). Would rather have lost Marvin and kept Hue.

            • Boltorama January 16th, 2016 at 20:13

I agree. Lewis has been there forever but Hue really transformed your team’s offense. It must suck that he went to a divisional rival. Even though it’s the Browns joining them must have drawn the ire of many Bengals fans.

              • TiredOldGuy49 January 16th, 2016 at 20:28

A lot of disappointment about losing him, but with the Browns organization as it is, more surprise that he went there. They were the first firm offer and he jumped at it.

                • Boltorama January 16th, 2016 at 20:31

We’re stuck with McCoy for at least two more years. At least we got Whizenhunt back as our OC. Hopefully the Chargers will score more TDs in the red zone instead of settling for field goals.

A few days ago, I had a couple of posts that contained links go to mod. They were cleared in only a few minutes, but I’ve never had that happen before.

      • Hirightnow January 16th, 2016 at 19:25

I think it’s because of the format follies that we just went through…
I tend to approve the “trusted souls” (after reading the posts, anyway), but I’ve run across Disqus glitches more than once since being graced with UNLIMITED POWER!!!…comments with nothing wrong, etc,. being sent into “Pending”…
I just take them as they come.

    • mea_mark January 16th, 2016 at 19:44

      Moby, last name banned.

FatRat seems to be an OK sort…
        Was I wrong?

I see it now. Tricky RICHARD, except call him Tricky D*ck. You can see the word when it is spelt out. lol

          • Hirightnow January 16th, 2016 at 20:04

            And yet,”Penis” is perfectly acceptable…

            • FatRat January 16th, 2016 at 20:07

In the heat of an arguement, you might yell *ss and D*ck or Fudge you!!! Not a lot of vicious rhetoric with anatomically correct terminology.

              • Hirightnow January 16th, 2016 at 20:10

“Oh, go initiate coitus with yourself, child of unwed parents”.
                (EXAMPLE)

              • mea_mark January 16th, 2016 at 20:13

Believe it or not but ‘fudge’ is on the naughty words list also.

                • FatRat January 16th, 2016 at 20:13

Dang, I’m trying to avoid Carlin’s dirty seven words.

                • Hirightnow January 16th, 2016 at 20:13

                  You’re sharting me!

He’s ok and probably was whitelisted long ago. I’ts like when you talk about Cheny, you can’t use his first name.

          • Hirightnow January 16th, 2016 at 19:50

            Yeah, figured.
(Don’t like to seem like the underling who has to refer to the boss for decisions…)

          • Hirightnow January 16th, 2016 at 19:52

Wait…where;s the “mod” tag after your name?

            • mea_mark January 16th, 2016 at 19:53

It’s there. Sometimes it just doesn’t show-up for some reason until you reload the page.

              • Hirightnow January 16th, 2016 at 19:53

                ok

                • FatRat January 16th, 2016 at 19:54

Look at an incognito page if you can, it should easily show up.

              • Hirightnow January 16th, 2016 at 19:54

That would have been a Vader moment…

                • mea_mark January 16th, 2016 at 19:56

The first time that happened to me I thought they were mad at me for some reason. Just an occasional Disqus glitch.

              • Hirightnow January 16th, 2016 at 19:56

(Disqus is full of the oddness)

  7. tracey marie January 16th, 2016 at 19:09

Poor teabaggers and theocrats, the President Obama once again made them look foolish and petty.

    • Larry Schmitt January 16th, 2016 at 19:16

And they don’t need his help.

  8. labman57 January 16th, 2016 at 19:43

Won’t matter. Republican POTUS wannabes are not known for letting reality undermine their rhetoric.

  9. Boltorama January 16th, 2016 at 19:49

Republicans are so good at being two-faced. They flip a coin to see who to blame for their problems…

    • TiredOldGuy49 January 16th, 2016 at 20:01

And both sides of the coin have the Presidents face.

      • Boltorama January 16th, 2016 at 20:05

Two-face is my favorite Batman villain after the Joker. I’m sure in real life he would never agree with the repukes. He was a DA before going to the dark side.

        • Hirightnow January 16th, 2016 at 20:05

          Billy Dee, or Tommy Lee?

          • Boltorama January 16th, 2016 at 20:11

From the movies? I guess I’d have to go with Tommy Lee. I’m a huge fan of the animated series.

            • Hirightnow January 16th, 2016 at 20:12

Honest Abe is on both sides of the penny. Profile and seated on the back.

I just noticed that LOL. Took a look at the penny laying on my desk and saw Abe sitting there.

Republicans are itching for another war. They wanted to invade Iran during Dubya’s administration but it didn’t happen. I want to ask what are the benefits of invading a country that has three times the population and four times the landmass that Iraq has? They don’t give a fig if thousands of American troops die as long as it isn’t their own kids and heap in all of the revenue from the oil and arms deals for their selves.

    • Mensa Member January 16th, 2016 at 20:30

They burn through four trillion dollars on needless wars and then blame the Democrats for deficits.

      • Boltorama January 16th, 2016 at 20:32

Invading a country and blaming others for their failures. Typical GOTP strategy.

        • Mensa Member January 16th, 2016 at 20:33

          >>Invading a country and blaming others for their failures

And, sometimes, not even the correct country.

Since when have conservatives let facts get in the way of a right wing talking point?

They are still saying that the economy is worse since Obama took over!

    • Mensa Member January 16th, 2016 at 20:42

And that Obama is taking away their guns.

    • Mensa Member January 16th, 2016 at 20:43

And that illegal immigration is way up.
