Ammon Bundy: ‘I Was Asked To Do This By The Lord’

Posted by | January 9, 2016 09:56 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Religion

Well, who can argue with Ammon Bundy now that we know God wants him to occupy a federal building.

During the 30-minute meeting at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge, a leader of the occupation, Ammon Bundy, told about a dozen representatives of such groups as Pacific Patriots Network, Oath Keepers and III% that he had no immediate plans to abandon the siege.

“I was asked to do this by the Lord,” said Bundy, a Mormon, as some of the militia members nodded in understanding. “I did it how he told me to do it.”

Of course you were. Many heinous crimes have been committed by people who listen to voices in their head.

The spambots are starting to bump into each other. There are two of them with identical messages attached to your post. I flagged them, so they’ll be gone soon. I checked their links, and the domain is Jersey.

      • rg9rts January 9th, 2016 at 11:20

        The island or the state?

        • Larry Schmitt January 9th, 2016 at 11:24

The island. Far as I know, New Jersey doesn’t have a domain. It ended with .je. I always look it up to see where it’s located.

    • rg9rts January 9th, 2016 at 11:20

      Inside? or outside?? Big difference

  2. Suzanne McFly January 9th, 2016 at 09:58

Screw you dumbass, it was the other guy. You can tell by the hot temp and red skin.

  3. Larry Schmitt January 9th, 2016 at 10:03

No, I’m pretty sure there’s no god that would want you to do whatever the f*ck it is you’re doing. What are you doing, anyway?

    • Suzanne McFly January 9th, 2016 at 10:06

Bird watching? Might be hard to do when your head is up your ass though lol.

    • Dave Fedack January 9th, 2016 at 10:59

Larry, I don’t think the voices in his head are from God.

    • KABoink_after_wingnut_hacker January 9th, 2016 at 13:48

And why didn’t his god advise him to take snacks?

      • Pat Padrnos January 9th, 2016 at 14:10

“Be sure to take extra socks.” He missed that directive too.

      • Larry Schmitt January 9th, 2016 at 14:28

He provided them: crickets, ants, lizards, snakes. If they’re good enough for the birds, should be good enough for them.

  4. jybarz January 9th, 2016 at 10:22

So now this low-life has a direct line of communication with God?
I’m sure he’s dyslexic because I think he meant his Dog told him.
    Stooopid POS!

  5. Mike January 9th, 2016 at 10:35

This guy is a walking contradiction…he says he supports the Constitution but is engaged in a battle with the people that the Constitution put in charge of the land

    Article 4 Section 3

The Congress shall have Power to dispose of and make all needful Rules and Regulations respecting the Territory or other Property belonging to the United States; and nothing in this Constitution shall be so construed as to Prejudice any Claims of the United States, or of any particular State.

What could be clearer…??? It does not guarantee that federal lands (owned by we the people) must be leased to ranchers for grazing or miners for mineral extraction.

If your god asked you to do this it means your a radical christian terrorist, one who is using violence, threats, and intimidation to advance a political agenda…one that is against the very Constitution you claim to support.

    • Larry Schmitt January 9th, 2016 at 10:36

As usual, the ones who talk the most about the Constitution haven’t actually read it. Just like with the bible.

      • rg9rts January 9th, 2016 at 11:18

The mormons have their own book..which he hasn’t read either

  6. Gina Bousquet January 9th, 2016 at 11:00

    Their Lord is their scapegoat.

    • Hirightnow January 9th, 2016 at 18:55

They shall not want to make sense.
He leadeth them to occupy tourist attractions
He maketh them to request socks on social media.
      He restoreth their self esteem.
He leadeth them in the path of sedition for his name’s sake.
Yea, though they walk through the snack bar of the shadow of death, they shall fear no evil,
      For He is with them.
His Cruz and His Trump, they comfort them.
Thou preparest a press conference before them in the face of their enemies.
Thou annointeth their heads with Vitalis
      Their crap runneth over.
Surely, relevance and sound bites on Fox will follow them all the days of their lives.
And they shall dwell in the house of Murdochforever.
      Amen.

The lord must have a partyline judging by how many people she talks to

    • Larry Schmitt January 9th, 2016 at 11:25

We used to have a party line when I was a kid. You had to pay extra to have a private line. Never heard god when I picked it up though.

      • rg9rts January 9th, 2016 at 11:29

Me either….ever wonder when everyone started getting the private lines did the last one on the party line still get the party line rate??

        • Larry Schmitt January 9th, 2016 at 11:31

That’s one of those metaphysical questions no one has ever asked before.

      • Bunya January 14th, 2016 at 13:54

I hear tell they’re gonna start a “go fund me” page to pay for all those party line calls he’s getting from the lord.

  8. William January 9th, 2016 at 11:42

Religion. The last refuge for those without an argument.
…and yeah, Goober actually said that.

You have nuts there, but I don’t see bananas or crackers. Is there a snack called Whackadoodles?

  11. raypc800 January 9th, 2016 at 12:13

It is amazing how RW seem to hear voices and they claim it is God. Now why would God talk to people who claim to be Christians yet the policies they push and the way they deal with other people. Even their own families, lies, cheats and so on. They practice the ways of the Devil more then of Christ. Thus the voice they hear implies mental issues and so do their daily choices and behavior.

  12. StoneyCurtisll January 9th, 2016 at 12:17

“I was asked to do this by the Lord,” said Bundy, a Mormon..
Not only is he a criminal, he is also a confirmed pathological liar..

    • granpa.usthai January 10th, 2016 at 09:32

the ‘Mormons’ in my family are overly honest and more than fair in their dealings. Few of them have a firearm other than what’s used for hunting wild game. I would say that bundy’s about as ‘Mormon’ as tr*mp is a christian or Cr*z is a natural born citizen IN the USA.

  13. StoneyCurtisll January 9th, 2016 at 12:38

    Allahu Akbar.. Mother F-fers…

  14. labman57 January 9th, 2016 at 13:45

Another sanctimonious, gun-toting lunatic confuses the voices in his head as “God spoke to me and blessed my criminal behavior”.

    • Larry Schmitt January 9th, 2016 at 14:33

Hell, half the republican candidates said the same thing.

    • granpa.usthai January 10th, 2016 at 09:27

too much recoil and burnt gunpowder fumes if you ask me.

America’s Greatest embarassment – Governor Ige and Congressman Mark Takai. This is America, NOT Japan!! Impeach Hawaii’s Governor Ige.

  16. Aulani Kaaihue January 9th, 2016 at 15:46

We need the militia here in Hawaii too and oust these racist traitors!!

    • spacegod January 9th, 2016 at 16:08

Remind the militia that it’s an easy drive to Hawaii but be sure to roll up their windows.

    • bpollen January 9th, 2016 at 21:25

You think YallQaeda would go with the indigenous Hawaiians? These “white privilege” rednecks? These constitutional scholars that ignore other parts of the constitution while claiming to support the constitution, as if you get to pick which parts should be crossed out. I don’t hear any talk about how they are currently demanding the land be returned to the Paiutes who own the land by treaty.

You should submit an item to alan.com detailing the basics of your story, reference different sources, and lay out your overall take on the matter, with perhaps an aside to the site manager as to why this would be of interest to the readers. If you write it well enough, you might get it published with your name on the byline
You shouldn’t, in my opinion, try to sidetrack a thread with extraneous subjects.

      • Mensa Member January 9th, 2016 at 18:47

Did you look at the tweets on her page? A couple were blatantly racist.

        • Hirightnow January 9th, 2016 at 18:58

          She’s borderline pushing it…
If she keeps it up,I’ll likely just “spam” her comments.
(But I won’t feel bad, as I pointed her in the right direction to get her story “out there”)

          • Aulani Kaaihue January 10th, 2016 at 02:30

Thanks for thinking of spamming an important issue here in Hawaii. Trying to get the word out, and you want to spam this?? Take a look at our politics, this is a serious issue and concern to America.

            • whatthe46 January 10th, 2016 at 03:45

              like?

            • Hirightnow January 10th, 2016 at 06:58

Please re-read my reply to you. This is a thread about Ammond Bundy, not Hawaii. If you have a story ideal or news tip, HERE is a link to submit it to.

  18. maggie January 9th, 2016 at 16:02

if bundy thinks god asked hime to do this he’s an armed extremist….just like ISIS and we know exactly what he means and so does he…he thinks gun violence is a means to and end…..and end however that he will not win……but may put him six feet under…

  19. pignose4.0 January 9th, 2016 at 16:04

The lord told me to tell bundy to go home and STFU and leave her out of it.

    • granpa.usthai January 10th, 2016 at 09:51

funny lord. Told me to tell the POTUS to keep ’em ALL there until their STOLEN MILITARY WEAPONS and other death toys are taken out of their frozen hands, placed in cold steel handcuffs and given frozen tv dinners until they’re passing ice cubed droppings before placing them in a nice warm FEDERAL CORRECTIONS FACILITY with hot showers and good wholesome warm food for a long, long time.

This is lifted from an article in the Oregonian: http://www.oregonlive.com/pacific-northwest- news/index.ssf/2016/01/tyranny_for_feds_to_keep_land.html

“But the notion that American land would be in the hands of the
federal government, not local government responsive to local residents,
    was very much by design.

A 1787 agreement among all 13 founding states – that every bit of land added to the United States would be owned and controlled by a strong federal government – was the linchpin needed before delegates went on to write the Constitution.

That deal was known as the Northwest Ordinance. Thomas Jefferson was
its primary architect, with fellow Founding Fathers James Monroe and
James Madison also making important contributions, according to Jack Rakove, a Stanford University professor who specializes in the history of the American Revolution and the Constitution.

Their determination that the federal government would own every shred
of land brought into the new nation and dispose of or manage it as it
wished was enshrined in the Constitution, in a short half-sentence in Article IV:

“The Congress shall have Power to dispose of and make all needful
rules and regulations respecting the Territory or other Property
    belonging to the United States.”

As a matter of public policy, Congress could choose to give away or
sell off more public lands, or order federal agencies to relax
    environmental restrictions on them.

But a lengthy bipartisan effort, beginning with the Public Land Law Review Commission in 1964 and culminating in the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976,
made it the official national policy that nearly all remaining federal
landholdings should remain federally owned for the common good, Campbell
    said.”

    • Hirightnow January 9th, 2016 at 18:33

      Facts! Phhhhbbbt!
You can prove anything with those

      • granpa.usthai January 10th, 2016 at 09:45

        yep.

besides, NONE of the founding fathers ever never expected an Hawaiian to be POTUS some day.

    • granpa.usthai January 10th, 2016 at 09:43

but if the WHITE RACIST REPUBLIKON TEABAGGER TERRORIST don’t like an Hawaiian being in the White House, they have the right to take what they want, don’t they? I mean, if ‘god’ ask them to?
Laws against ARMED TERRORIST only apply to ‘not as white as republiKon teabaggers’ don’t they?
maybe not so much in ‘writing’ as in ‘spirit’ and after all, when you’re communicating with ‘god’ it’s almost always in the spirit, right?

nothing the feds can do now except leave ’em some more US MILITARY STOLEN WEAPONS and walk away again.
