NRA Says Obama’s Actions Didn’t Go Far Enough

Posted by | January 5, 2016 15:27 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics

Yes, they say what he did is meaningless “political rhetoric” that wouldn’t have stopped any mass shootings. But if he did more than he was allowed to do he’d overstep his power. So what is the NRA’s solution? They don’t have one, because there is no measure they support.

Once again, President Obama has chosen to engage in political rhetoric, instead of offering meaningful solutions to our nation’s pressing problems.  Today’s event also represents an ongoing attempt to distract attention away from his lack of a coherent strategy to keep the American people safe from terrorist attack.

The American people do not need more emotional, condescending lectures that are completely devoid of facts.  The men and women of the National Rifle Association take a back seat to no one when it comes to keeping our communities safe.  But the fact is that President Obama’s proposals would not have prevented any of the horrific events he mentioned.

Do they mean he lacks a sound strategy to keep us safe like the one Dubya had? You know, the strategy that resulted in 9/11 and numerous embassy and consulate bombings?

“The men and women of the National Rifle Association take a back seat to no one when it comes to keeping our communities safe.”

You may not be taking a back seat, but you are apparently driving with your ASS because there have been nearly 500 incidents of gun violence just this year!

He’s not talking about just mass shootings. How many lives could be saved with tighter background checks?

I have heard some people in the news say this will hurt the NRA or other pro gun organizations if they try to make this a legal issue. If they claim on one hand the President overstepped his bounds while saying on the other hand that these changes don’t amount to much. Glad to see the screw is coming back around.

Obama’s executive action would not have stopped any recent mass shootings

Responsible gun owners have no problem at all with taking extra precautions to make sure criminals, mentally ill, or rabid militia type nuts cannot get a gun.

Don’t NRA/ gun-nuts/ GOP just make your blood boil?
    They make positives negatives.
And their negatives as positives in their evil minds.
Please, Lord, change their evil minds to goodness or deliver them to hell.
