Authorities To Cut Power To Federal Building Held By Militia

Posted by | January 5, 2016 10:28 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly

The feds hope to flush out the militia by cutting off power resulting in freezing temperatures.

A federal government official told the Guardian that authorities were planning on Monday to cut the power at the refuge.

“It’s in the middle of nowhere,” said the official, who is based in Washington, DC, and has knowledge of the planned response to the militia. “And it’s flat-ass cold up there.”

The official, who asked not to be named, said they were not privy to the FBI’s plan of action. However, they said the US Park Service, which is leading the crisis management reaction to the occupation in liaison with the FBI, planned to cut the power to the building where the militiamen are spending their nights…

“After they shut off the power, they’ll kill the phone service,” the government official added. “Then they’ll block all the roads so that all those guys have a long, lonely winter to think about what they’ve done.”

Good. Prison might start to look like an attractive alternative. No power will mean no water to flush toilets. This probably won’t take long.

    • mistlesuede January 5th, 2016 at 10:41

Let’s hope so and that the right forces are there to haul them off before a judge to hear actual charges against them.

    • CandideThirtythree January 5th, 2016 at 11:14

I joked about them saying that they would hold out until the last square of toilet paper LOL.

      • mea_mark January 5th, 2016 at 11:28

They say they wants snacks sent to them. Perhaps we should send them snacks that have a laxative effect to hurry the process along.

        • CandideThirtythree January 5th, 2016 at 12:24

hahaah reminds me of the time my dad and his best friend dosed up their lunches because of a break-room thief. The unfortunate thief stole BOTH of their lunches the same day, dad’s had an orange shot full of ipecac and his buddy’s had chocolate E-lax cake. That dude missed several days of work! LOL

The stupid thing was that the company wanted to prosecute the people who’s lunches were stolen but the thief refused to tell who’s lunches he had stolen.

I had my car repeatedly stolen and broken into and fantasized about buying a bait car and loading it up with lice, deer ticks, bed bugs, etc.

It still amuses me to think about that.

        • GmaGardner January 6th, 2016 at 20:20

          And send them tampons too.

  2. Tommie January 5th, 2016 at 10:35

Seems they have been listening to the American people since that’s what people have been calling for!

    • mistlesuede January 5th, 2016 at 10:41

  3. rg9rts January 5th, 2016 at 10:42

    • CandideThirtythree January 5th, 2016 at 11:13

they are already begging for snacks… I guess they lied about being stocked up to hold out for years.

      • allison1050 January 5th, 2016 at 11:31

There’s a good story about their lack of food on RS.

        • CandideThirtythree January 5th, 2016 at 12:17

LOL, my son loves those things! he used to bring a bunch home every time he came home from the Army. That freeze dried fruit cocktail was awesome, it bubbled in your mouth.

But you are right,if you had to eat them every meal, it would get real old real quick especially when all that is left is the shrimp jambalaya or veggie omelet hahaha!

  4. GmaGardner January 5th, 2016 at 11:15

I guess they will just have to snuggle up w/ their bro’s to stay warm! LMAO!!!

    • Suzanne McFly January 5th, 2016 at 12:01

Yeah blow up dolls don’t provide much warmth.

      • Mensa Member January 5th, 2016 at 12:04

        Oh, it’s not dolls.

        • Suzanne McFly January 5th, 2016 at 12:09

Well that is what I am comfortable with believing so let me stay ignorant about that fact please lol.

          • Mensa Member January 5th, 2016 at 12:18

Unless/until the shooting starts, it’s hard not to poke fun at these guys.

I’m a liberal, so I don’t really care if they are having some boy’s club in there. But it’s fun to tease them about it.

      • GmaGardner January 6th, 2016 at 20:18

LOL I think all their UPS shipments of blow up dolls, sox, TP & beef Jerkey have been cut off…. we’ll see how long they will last now….

  5. kim dyer January 5th, 2016 at 11:42

Should have cut the power/water/etc. on DAY ONE.

How do these people think they’re going to GET the “snacks” and “socks” from anyone? Do they think they’re just going to drive out, go to the post office, and pick them up? I guess there wasn’t enough booze to last for the “years” they intended to occupy the place.

These terrorists have been sucking off the government teat for years, but they protest against the government. It’s stupid.

That part of this story is driving us BLM-supporters crazy.

The double-standard is glaring. These guys think they are the victims but are being handled with kid gloves.

    • DogsRgoodpeople January 5th, 2016 at 12:58

      Disgusting hypocrites.

    • granpa.usthai January 5th, 2016 at 16:05

they could try calling the nearest Ritz Carlton for room service.

  6. Suzanne McFly January 5th, 2016 at 12:02

Lets send them high fiber snacks, that will flush them out lol.

    • William January 5th, 2016 at 14:58

You’re on a roll. Your sock question along with my sock image is making the rounds.

      Jack,

I generally don’t click on links without some explanation of what it is.

It’s too easy to get into pop-up purgatory!

I think most of us are like that.

      • Hirightnow January 5th, 2016 at 12:33

        From the site:
        Petition;

Media Outlets: Call the Oregon Militia Occupation an Act of Domestic Terrorism

        11,408 signatures.

        • Mensa Member January 5th, 2016 at 12:47

          OK — thanks.

I’m not sure I actually think this is domestic terrorism since citizens aren’t being targeted.

It’s definitely insurrection, militant, dangerous and criminal.

          Treasonous, maybe.

But is it terrorism? Not as I think of terrorism.

But, I do think lack of jail time for the Bundys and their followers emboldens domestic terrorists.

          • timpundit January 5th, 2016 at 13:11

If tax payers wanted to visit the refuge, do you think the terrorists would let them?

This may not be ‘terrorism’ as we are used to seeing but they certainly are targeting civilians’ assets/property. I see no reason to split hairs over this. They are terrorists IMO and should be treated as such.

          • bpollen January 5th, 2016 at 16:34

Use of violence or the threat of violence to further political aims fits the dictionary definition of terrorism.

      • Jack E Raynbeau January 5th, 2016 at 12:42

        Corrected

        • Mensa Member January 5th, 2016 at 12:53

Thanks. I know you are a good guy who would not put a deceptive link.

But I have really regretting clicking on stuff!

I run Linux but it does not do well with all the scripts and pop-ups that some sites have. (Fortunately, we Linux geeks can can also block them, if we want.)

      • granpa.usthai January 5th, 2016 at 16:00

is it against federal law to cut down the trees in the park?

        • Sam January 5th, 2016 at 17:45

          If not,,,,,It should be.
destroying public domain for profit is a crime.

Cold weather is a good way to get rid of fascists. Just ask the people of Stalingrad.

Good. That ought to smoke them out. But my guess is they’ll stick it out until the beer and Jack Daniels’ runs out.

  13. William January 5th, 2016 at 14:49

Hopefully the UPS, FEDEX and USPS is shut off as well.

  14. StoneyCurtisll January 5th, 2016 at 16:50

The final straw will come when the media losses interest in the story and goes away…
They have no more reason to remain.

  15. StoneyCurtisll January 5th, 2016 at 17:00

I couldn’t help buy notice they have changed the length of time they are willing to stay there from “years” to “months”…
That little bit of food they are looting from the pantry of the Wildlife Service workers isn’t going to feed those idiots very long..
