Obama Executive Action Will Expand Gun Background Checks

President Obama is expected to announce an executive order that will expand background checks on gun sales.

The changes, which could come as soon as next week, would include requiring more small-scale gun sellers to be licensed and to conduct a background check whenever selling a weapon, Politico reported.

Additional measures would impose tighter rules for reporting guns that are lost or stolen on their way to a buyer, the political news website said.

Planning for the action is not complete and the announcement could be delayed, CNN reported. But gun control advocates told the cable news channel they are expecting the actions to be announced ahead of Obama’s annual State of the Union address, scheduled for Jan. 12.

Good, Pasedena texas…a cop was selling 2 of his personal guns this week. he arranged to meet the buyers in a public park, he was wary but met with them. A gun battle began with many shots fired, houses hit as well as his truck. In Texas you may sell your personal weapons without a background ck…this is the result.

You can bet the farm that the NRA has already drafted the law suit to challenge this, all they need is the date.

I am thinking the same thing. I am also thinking that, that is what Obama wants also. If the order is drafted right and holds up in court, it sets precedent.
