Iraqi Forces Move To Retake Ramadi From ISIS

Iraqi forces are on the verge of taking back Ramadi.

Security sources told the BBC troops and allied tribesmen, backed by US-led air strikes, had already retaken two districts, and entered two others.

They are heading towards the main government complex, and have come up against snipers and suicide bombers.

Ramadi fell to IS in May in an embarrassing defeat for the Iraqi army.

Last month, government forces completed their encirclement of the predominantly Sunni Arab city, about 90km (55 miles) west of Baghdad, cutting off militants inside the centre from strongholds elsewhere in Anbar province and in neighbouring Syria.

    The gop would insist that American boots on the ground is the only way to defeat ISIS

            80 here. I like it a bit cooler for christmas, a fire is nice on christmas morning. Sigh, I might have to crank up the ac and light one anyway.

    If the GOP was in office we would have lost many more american lives by now….I think the white house administration team is working hard and doing it’s best….even so no one can stop everything….it’s impossible to stop everything….he is the best choice and the only choice for a very difficult global situation that will continue to be difficult for many years…which is why we need the experience of HRC…Bernie has proven to be too immature…
