Amazon has started packing gifts with scannable codes to automatically send thank-you notes. The notes, which became part of Amazon’s gift receipt service for this holiday season, include a QR code designed for the Amazon app. The feature takes the hassle out of responding to each and every gift that comes through, while keeping customers locked…

    This is how bad our economy has become? We are only spending billions on gifts from Amazon!!!! If we had a true American leading the country we would be spending trillions!!……./s

    Harried Christmas shoppers may well find appeal in the idea of having an automated thank-you note included with the sale. I think an automated thank you note idea is soulless, but that probably makes it a good business decision.
