and remember the university that was under fire not very long ago, where a student and former soldier had a gun, but made the smart choice of not engaging. he rightfully thought about being considered a terrorist/shooter when swat arrived.

here’s another scenario where it could have all gone wrong: lets say a few other students had guns, but were not where the initial shooting started to know exactly who the actual instigator was, they come in from different directions with guns drawn, not knowing who started, they each take the other for the “bad” guy. so many ways this could go wrong.
