195 Nations Agree On Climate Change

That’s 195 nations vs. one American political party, the imploding Republicans.

Negotiators from 195 countries agreed Saturday on a blueprint deal aimed at reducing global carbon emissions and limiting global warming, a significant but far from conclusive step in the multinational effort to keep climate change in check.
The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) posted on its website a copy of the draft agreement, which officials have been working on intensively for some time.

The document addresses deforestation, food security, poverty and a host of other issues, with chunks of the document focused on what developed countries can do to reduce carbon dioxide missions by a yet to be determined level by 2050.

          You heard lectures by Asimov? I’m jealous. According to his wiki bio that pic comes from 1965 which would have made him about 45. I would have guessed younger, maybe 1955, but what do I know?

    I wonder if hemp ever came up as a way to reduce pollution, deforestation, etc..
    I could be wrong, but it seems like hemp could make a measurable impact in several different ways.
    The plus being, it’s clean, cheap and quick to grow and process.

      It also can be safely grown in fields that are heavily laden with cow manure from dairies. Which cleans up the polluted soil.

        It just seems like a natural evolution in farming if marijuana were made legal… since farming hemp would immediately be of no concern.

        Well, unless you’re money is in lumber/paper/petrochemicals… and so on.

          Growing Hemp would seem like a good idea. It would make getting farm workers much easier. Of coarse, the workers would probably have Large lunch pails and very laid back personalities.

            That’s possible… but not from anything in the field.
            And if they tried growing female plants (marijuana) among the hemp, they’d also face legal problems for messing up the hemp crop.

            There’s no getting stoned from hemp.
            You’d die of old age before you could smoke enough to get a decent high, lol.

        Hemp can be used for that too, but bamboo is also a great source that’s quickly renewable!

    195 Nations of this Planet say there is Global Climate change and ” ONE ” Group called REPUBLICANS say there is “NO” such thing. Who Ya going to BELIEVE ? Vote your answer in November 2016.
