Gun Store Advertises With Anti-Refugee Billboard

Looks like this business owner will have to rewrite the inscription on the Statue of Liberty.

The owner, who identified himself as Doc to WLOS, posted on a billboard: “give me your tired, your poor… Keep your Syrian refugees,” along with directions to his shop.

“I didn’t put the billboard up on any kind of hate type bias,” Doc said. “It was just something that was my opinion…what’s going on in the world today. We really need to take care of our own before we take care of all these refugees.”

        Sales records for guns were set on Black Friday. Also, they’re coming out with the equivalent of the Home Shopping Network for guns. ‘Murica, F*ck Yeah!!!

    Right, and how does he want to “take care of our own”??? By repealing healthcare for 16 million? By stripping worker rights? By gutting the EPA? By privatizing social security so benefits can be cut, eliminated or denied. By establishing a fundie christian religion as a requirement? Cut or eliminate government assistance programs? Bust unions and reduce wages?

    BEWARE when a right wing gun nut says all they want to do is “take care of our own first”….what they are actually saying is..”I got mine so f*k you”…

    Then by his own logic, I assume the owner of ‘Cherokee’ Guns is referring to Native Americans as the ‘our own’ which need to be taken care of?

    I’ll bet the cherokee are overjoyed to have their name memorialized in such a fashion…since NC was the starting point for the Trail of Tears
