Fiorina: Terror Suspects Should Be Allowed To Buy Guns

Posted by | December 3, 2015 12:26 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics

Carly Fiorina says if you’re suspected of being a terrorist, you should still be able to get a gun.

Fiorina said Thursday morning she doesn’t think people on the terrorist watch list should be barred from owning guns because her friend was on the watch list and owned a gun.

Fiorina, talking to the hosts of MSNBC’s Morning Joe, said it was an error that her best friend’s husband was on the list, then explained her position by saying that the government “screws up all that time.”

“You know, my best friend’s husband was on the watch list for years, it was a complete mistake. He also happened to be a gun owner,” Fiorina said after being pressed by host Joe Scarborough about people on the watch list not being able to board planes but being able to buy guns. “If I had utter faith in the competence of government, I might agree with that. But do you? I don’t. The government screws up all the time.”

If there were still any doubt, she settled the question: She is not competent to be president. Not that any of us ever thought she was, but for those who have been asleep for the past six months, this settles it.

Comic relief for the clown car

She is going to have to shut up pretty soon. Every time she opens her mouth, some of her brain falls out and she ain’t got that much brain.

      • Larry Schmitt December 3rd, 2015 at 14:31

At least she’s losing in the polls, and soon any “relevance” she might have had will disappear, and we won’t have to listen to her. Unless you’re a masochist and you watch Fox, because that’s where she’ll wind up. And that brain-dead audience will droll over everything she says. But they drool a lot anyway.

“My best friend’s husband.” Is that like “my neighbor’s favorite step aunt” we keep seeing in those spam posts all over the internet? People who don’t actually exist?

    • The Original Just Me December 3rd, 2015 at 14:20

If Fiornia said it, IT ain’t true anyway.

Anyone who feels the need to own an assault rifle should be on the watch list.

    • granpa.usthai December 3rd, 2015 at 13:33

Ah ha, so Carly “pal’s around with terrorists”? (quick, call Palin & Hannity!)

  7. granpa.usthai December 3rd, 2015 at 13:28

    so –
how does Ms. Fiorina think about ‘suspected’ terrorist who chose to keep and bear arms other than those dictated by the NRA?

say, ummm – maybe NUCLEAR ARMS?

prohibiting US Citizens from keeping and bearing NUCLEAR ARMS is as anti constitutional as it gets!

And yet if people serve time in jail they lose their right to vote and that is acceptable.

    • The Original Just Me December 3rd, 2015 at 14:18

I think the Demo. Gov. of Tennessee fixed that for his state.

    • Red Eye Robot December 3rd, 2015 at 17:33

You don’t see a difference in someone who is denied a right because THEY WERE FOUND GUILTY OF A FELONY IN A COURT OF LAW and someone like Mikey Hicks who was searched and detained by TSA when traveling on vacation with his family with no due process what so ever?

There are people with no connection in any way to terrorism on these lists. They have no recourse, the govt does not have to tell them why they are on the lists and has no mechanism to remove people who were errantly placed on lists.

      • Suzanne McFly December 3rd, 2015 at 18:15

Why are they on the list if they have not done anything that raised suspicion? And if you did your time, your punishment is over.

      • bpollen December 4th, 2015 at 05:25

I got an idea! Why don’t we try to clean up the watchlist? But no, let’s just pretend that it’s the big incompetent government that puts innocent ‘Murkins on this list and want to take away their god-given guns. The same big incompetent government that, according to your brethren, should monitor college professors, mosques, all muslims, liberals, and pretty much anybody but Koch-servatives.

  9. The Original Just Me December 3rd, 2015 at 14:16

So she thinks the government is stupid and messes up all the time. Then it’s no wonder that she thinks she could be President . She would fit right in with that scenario.

  10. crc3 December 3rd, 2015 at 14:57

She’s just another loon looking for attention but she is far from Donald Trump territory. He’s got looneyville all wrapped up by himself…

  11. Red Eye Robot December 3rd, 2015 at 16:47

http://www.wired.com/2014/02/no-fly-coverup/ How the government called an innocent woman,Rahinah Ibrahim, a terrorist to cover up government incompetence.

It took this woman 10 years to clear her name.

Funny, I remember how just a few years ago Liberals were all against these terror lists in the patriot act. But now that you think it will advance your cause of disarmament of law abiding citizens you’re all for it.

Denying people civil rights without due process is fascism. But hey, those Jack Boots look cool with your new brown shirt.

    • tracey marie December 3rd, 2015 at 18:52

but real fascism making people register and wear badges because they are Muslims is okay with you.

    • Obewon December 3rd, 2015 at 20:18

You’re too dim to know those prohibited from buying or possessing guns & ammo are: DHS/FBI Watchlisted terrorist suspects, FELONS, foreigners, Dishonorably discharged Veterans, legally adjudicated mental incompetents, those under Judicial retraining orders or INDICTMENT (Guber Rick Perry is disarmed:)

      • Kristen Clark December 4th, 2015 at 03:38

Till I saw the draft that was of 7926 dollars, I accept that my friend’s brother was like really generating cash in his free time with his pc. . His aunt’s neighbor has done this for only 8 months and by now repaid the loan on their home and bought a new Car .Why not try this. dcr….
