Officer Charged With Killing Laquan McDonald Free On $1.5 Million Bond

Van Dyke, charged last Tuesday with first-degree murder of the black teenager, walked out of Cook County Jail just after 6 p.m.

The Chicago police officer who was being held for the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Laquan McDonald was released on Monday evening, after posting the requisite 10 percent of his $1.5 million bail, or $150,000.

    They better cover him from head to toe with Kevlar, there are a few people who are not fond of him and they don’t know how to deal with pain by using words.
