this has been tried several times in the past since republiKons was stupid enough to fire upon the United States Military in Charleston, SC.

Eisenhower sent in the national guard to ensure FEDERAL Law was obeyed. Kennedy was fully prepared to do so, and even offered to send in full US active duty Military to enforce FEDERAL Law when informed the national guard would obey the state leader and not the CIC. (might have been a better idea to have gone in without warning – much better shock and awe effect that way?).

Tim – what is the truth?

            • Tim Coolio November 26th, 2015 at 20:44

The truth is a country that works for everyone and not just for the millionaires and billionaires and a country that takes in others just like they did last century.

The truth is a country where everyone works.

More would be working if the rightwing party didn’t block jobs bills!

What is existence? What’s the meaning of life? Why do we park on a driveway and drive on a parkway? Does the chewing gum lose its flavor on the bedpost overnight?

The eternal questions man has never been able to answer…

“We don’t acknowledge the authority or validity of the federal government … except when we need your assistance.”

Watch their reactions when the Federal $$$ start to dry up

  7. bpollen November 26th, 2015 at 22:17

Let me get this straight – the government threatens to withhold the funds for doing what they say they won’t do. Isn’t that like threatening to not pay for a car that your kid doesn’t want?

If any of them got to know any Syrians they might like them. I LOVE Egyptians! I have several friends who are from Egypt, we have been friends for years. My adult children have friends from Iraq that they met while in college.

Now that I think of it that might be part of the problem, the red state leaders are pandering to their base who are least likely to have ever gone to college or ever even left the town where they grew up so they don’t know any people who are not just like them.

Those governors should know better, they probably do but still chose to do the wrong thing for the wrong reason because of their wrong headed party.
