Waitress Told By Customer On Bill: ‘Tip For U.S. Citizens Only’
Xenophobia rears its ugly head once again.
The waitress has not been identified, but she is from Thailand and found that “Tip for U.S. citizens only” note where the tip would go.
A coworker called it disgusting and the note went hugely viral online, leading to people strongly condemning the man in question (his name was not originally blurred out on a released photo of the check).

How did he know she was not a US citizen? Millions of citizens look like they came from somewhere else (because they did) and speak with an accent. Would a Canadian waiter get a tip?

some of our Thai/Lao friends have related such acts over the years, and granma herself was harassed by a ‘teabagger’ on a neighbor street the same day -and time frame- of Sara’s famous NRA-hate non white speech in our city. Another friend is married to an Amerasian who was told to ‘get the f back to your own country’. That one I couldn’t let pass, being that her dad is a fellow Nam bro – no physical violence but enough ‘headaches’ with a message being sent by a uniformed ‘friend’ that she’s more of an American than his sorry ‘pure’ white ass could ever be -and she’s got an ‘uncle’ who’s chomping at the bit to back it up!
