Kasich Wants Government Agency To Promote Judeo-Christian Values Worldwide

Posted by | November 17, 2015 19:04 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics Religion

Great! Under President Kasich we’ll spread our wonderful religious values all over the world with a new government agency.

(AP Photo/Jim Cole)

Kasich, who now opposes bringing in Syrian refugees after saying the opposite last month, told NBC News today that he thinks the U.S. should set up a government agency with the primary purpose of promoting Judeo-Christian values around the world.

He argued that it’s important to “beam messages around the world” about what freedoms the United States enjoys because of those religious values. Kasich pinpointed the Middle East, China, Russia, and Iran as the main areas this government agency would be targeting.

That’s a little like being the best hitter on the 1906 White Sox (the “Hitless Wonders”, team BA of .230).

Go to the front of the clown car with Ted Cruz Mr. Kasich.

    • granpa.usthai November 17th, 2015 at 21:33

the Donald could really jump out in front now by carrying around a bible and a copy of the constitution. ‘specially if he stuck some us flag stickers on ’em. (even if they are made in China).

  5. mea_mark November 17th, 2015 at 19:26

At least he didn’t say the KKK … or did he?

    • Suzanne McFly November 18th, 2015 at 10:47

      Give him a minute.

  6. Gina Bousquet November 17th, 2015 at 19:27

The candidate ignores the Constitution. Isn’t this a secular government?

  7. Boltorama November 17th, 2015 at 19:34

Does he mean the same American religious values that were used to justify slavery and the genocide of Indians?

    • Larry Schmitt November 17th, 2015 at 19:41

      The very same.

    • granpa.usthai November 17th, 2015 at 21:15

LYING THIEVING kristian konservative republiKons also use it to LIE and STEAL from the injured workers in NC. In Kentucky it’s used mostly to tell the courts to go F themselves as kristian konservatives don’t have to obey any laws they don’t want to. Huck just uses it to hide his WHITE RACIST TERRORIST desires.

it’s a multi use religion for hatred bigotry and the rise and definite rapid collapse of the religious reich.

in the end, they’ll be working the potatoe fields of DPRK hopefully in the winter wearing pink panties (good way to tell if they’re really working or sitting on their lazy fat behinds waiting to be raputuated- that to me seems more just than them saying ‘oh well’ and escape justice by jumping off the planet.

      • Boltorama November 17th, 2015 at 21:18

I just love it when they claim they’re devout Christians yet most of them haven’t read the bible in its entirety. They would know that wearing mixed fabric is a sin.

        • granpa.usthai November 17th, 2015 at 21:29

          yep.
America is definitely headed to hell in a red coffee cup.
          no doubt about it.

may want to get a refill on the way down – from what I hear hell is a lot like west Texas except with less water. Figure a boiling cup of coffee in the mist of hell is gonna be like a cool cup of spring water – let’s see
one drop on the tip of a rich man’s tongue equals everything he owns so X all the rich folks (start with the mega ones first) by however many drops you can squeeze out of a cup….

all the world’s riches of all times …

hey! -does Starbucks have those office size coffee jugs like Dunkin Doughnuts?

          • Boltorama November 17th, 2015 at 21:37

I wonder if they know the founder of Starbucks is a Jew who doesn’t believe in their Jesus. More fuel for Fox’s annual War on Christmas Special! I love 7-11 coffee. Different blends really cheap. Although if I’m in the mood for something strong I stop at Starbucks. Where I live in LA Starbucks sells those coffee travel mugs.

    • Larry Schmitt November 17th, 2015 at 20:10

Remember, religious freedom means they have the freedom to impose their religion on the whole country.

    • Dwendt44 November 17th, 2015 at 23:26

      No mention of ‘god’ either.

Kasich is letting his true right wing colors show after being chewed up and spit out by Cruz at the last debate!

  10. Budda November 17th, 2015 at 20:29

(any) religion appears to be the problem not the answer

  11. granpa.usthai November 17th, 2015 at 21:02

fine, only first nullify and void out the US Constitution. After all, the first issue to be addressed was freedom from oppressive false religions.

    • granpa.usthai November 17th, 2015 at 21:19

ps: as to stopping the REFUGEES.
      FU2 VERY MUCH ALSO.

      They hate the black guy?

  15. mistlesuede November 17th, 2015 at 22:27

Moron. Religious values do not give you freedom, whatever the heck those are.
Freedom is what gives you the opportunity to practice religion. It doesn’t give you the freedom to force it on anyone at taxpayer expense.
After reading this, I guess we can put him in the same column as the rest of the wacko right wing candidates. He tries to come off as all non-partisan and serious, but crap like this exposes that he is no different from the rest.

  16. burqa November 18th, 2015 at 00:03

Lemme guess………………….he’s gonna finance it with funds that would have gone to Planned Parenthood.
This is unConstitutional and would be downright ridiculous if it wasn’t.

  17. El Conquistador November 18th, 2015 at 01:08

And this is perhaps the most “reasonable” of the GOP contenders.

  18. Warman1138 November 18th, 2015 at 01:36

First Ohio, then the rest of the country, after that…..the whole planet. John Kasich, messing up everything, one step at a time.
