Trump: Wages Are ‘Too High’

Posted by | November 11, 2015 09:13 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics

In his opening debate statement Donald Trump said wages are “too high.”

Trump made his comments in response to a question about whether he had sympathy for protesters who wanted to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour. Tuesday night’s debate was focused on the economy.

“We are a country that is being beaten on every front — economically, militarily,” Trump said. “Taxes too high, wages too high, we’re not going to be able to compete against the world … People have to go out, they have to work really hard, and they have to get into that upper stratum.”

Trump also said the US “doesn’t win anymore.”

This isn’t the first time Trump has come out against raising the minimum wage. In August, he told MSNBC that raising the minimum wage would hurt America’s economic competitiveness.

He might have a different opinion if he actually had to depend on a paycheck. This statement alone should convince anyone who has supported him so far to drop him. How many of his followers would volunteer for a pay cut?

Boy I can’t wait to have him explain how we can make America great again by plunging even MORE people into poverty.

The federal minimum wage is not a living wage. It might be good for business but then so is slavery.

Even if you did, with all the benefits, stock options, expense accounts, etc, they would still be rich and make many many times more that the average employee

“…to get into the upper stratum”. What an idiot. Not everyone can get ‘into the upper stratum’ and if they could, who would to the heavy lifting? If everyone was a CEO or on the Board of Directors who would do the REAL work?

    Donald’s goal:
Reduce the financial security of the average American wage earner to those of 3rd world nations. Oh, and cut taxes on the wealthiest Americans.

Gee Donald, you should shout this to the rooftop at your next rally, and demand that all those in the audience take a big pay cut for the sake of corporate profit….
The stupid is so very strong with his followers…

The scary part is that if you go on business sites like CNBC, Bloomberg, Fox Business people are falling for this trickle down voodoo crap.
