Former Virginia Senator Jim Webb, who ended his run as a Democratic presidential candidate, may be getting ready to run as an independent.

On Friday, Webb penned an op-ed for The Washington Post with the headline, “America needs an independent presidential candidate.” That candidate, according to Jim Webb, is probably Jim Webb:

I am in the process of deciding whether to mount such a campaign. Clearly, the need for another option grows stronger and more apparent by the day.

Oh neato, he can use “All By Myself” by Eric Carmen as his theme song!

    • Larry Schmitt October 31st, 2015 at 19:28

And the tone of that song fits his facial expression too.

Well, that’s an ingenious way to “get more time” at a debate.
I’m sure all fifteen of your supporters are wetting their pants now.

He’ll debate himself? Maybe he’ll go against the Green and Libertarian candidates. They can find a local access channel to cover it, a la Wayne’s World.

        Not worthy enough.

I guess he’d be in the final debates with the nominee from the Democratic and Republican parties, but seriously, what the heck does he think he’s going to accomplish? He is so unappealing to everyone. It’s not like he’s going to siphon off votes to make a big statement. It’s just dumb.

        • Larry Schmitt October 31st, 2015 at 19:27

And he’s really dull. But wouldn’t it be up to whoever sponsors and/or televises the debates whether they ask him? The candidates who get !% (or less) of the vote aren’t automatically invited. If he had been a republican he would have been at the kiddies’ table for theirs, with Miss Lindsay and Jindal.

LOL at Miss Lindsay! You may be right. I don’t know how it works.

He registered so low as a dem that he dropped out before anyone knew he was running. How does that indicate it’s time for an indie run? Shouldn’t there be some interest from someone other than the candidate?

He can run on the same independent ticket as Trump when Trump drops out and runs an independent bid!

Maybe if we put this poorly-performing shite into new packaging (New! Improved!) THEN the people will get behind it!

The new democratic version of Trump

I have earned 72,000 dollars so far this year working with my computer and I am a full time student . I am using an online work opportunity I heard about and I have made such great cash . It is really very friendly to all its users and I am just so happy that I found out about it …………

He’ll hurt the Republicans more than the Democrats.

    Run, Jim, run!
