Steinle Murder Was Gun Problem, Not Immigration Problem, Says SF Supervisor

David Campos of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors says the murder of Kate Steinle by undocumented immigrant Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez is more of a gun issue than an immigration issue. He was on MSNBC talking about the issue of sanctuary cities.

Campos warned against rush to judgment with Lopez-Sanchez because “we are still not sure exactly” what happened. Campos said the bullet fired from the gun Lopez-Sanchez was holding may have “ricochetted off the ground” and hit Steinle. Campos said illegal immigrations are far less likely to commit violent crime compared to the rest of the population.

“First of all, on this case, let’s be very clear, we are still not sure exactly of all the things that happened,” Campos said. “You know, in this case, it appears that the shot ricochetted off the ground.”

“The challenge that I have with the way that people are talking about this is that they look at an incident like this and they assume that that is representative of an entire community,” Campos said. “Newsweek had a very interesting piece that basically showed that if you look at facts, not rhetoric, not political points, but if you look at facts, undocumented people are less likely to commit violent crime than the rest of the population.”

The San Francisco Supervisor said the murder has become a “political pinata” and said the outrage should be over the fact that the accused murderer used a stolen gun to commit the crime. Campos also asked where is the outrage at the federal government for failing to do “comprehensive immigration reform.”

I agree, with so many guns in our nation and so many irresponsible and criminal people there are bound to be deaths. When we come to our senses and start to regulate the who and how people get guns the deaths will continue, more Americans kill then immigrants so save your breath ammosexuals, I am not interested in your lies.

Can’t wait to see what the right wing websites have to say on this subject since they believe we don’t have a gun problem, when children are finding guns in the streets and killing themselves over a selfie, we might have a problem with too many guns in this country! IMO!

O’Reilly has his panties in a wad over this incident. He’s pushing for draconian laws that put repeat illegals in prison for 5 years. Not sure the family of this women would feel any better if she was shot by an American citizen. His head will explode when he hears of this interview.

Question: Should the miscreant who killed Kate Steinle have been in the country? Answer: NO! This is an illegal immigrant and a sanctuary city problem both of which are supported by Democrat politicians, not a gun problem. And that is the truth that cannot be denied.

Robert Puts On His Thinking Cap And Wonders: Question: Should the miscreant who killed Kate Steinle have been in the country? Answer: NO!

I don’t think the legal status of this immigrant is questioned by anyone, Robert.

And go ahead and call him a “wetback”, honey; you know you want to.

A more probative question might be just how Sanchez was able to acquire the gun, which we are told was reported stolen by a Ranger of the Bureau of Land Management in June.

In fact, mindful of this, the family of Kate Steinle has filed claims against both the BLM and Homeland Security, alleging negligence in failing to responsibly teach their Rangers to stow handguns away safely.

But don’t you worry your pretty little head about it, you might burn a hole in your thinking cap.

I say it is a gun problem. Remember when you blew your horn and gave someone the finger for cutting you off on the highway?

If Lopez-Sanchez was in a Mexican prison or imprisoned in the U.S.; where a repeat felon should have been at the time when the gun that accidently went off by itself, the murder wouldn’t have happened. What’s so hard to comprehend???
