Jindal Trashes Oregon Shooter’s Father

Presidential candidate and Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, gasping for air in a failing presidential campaign, has decided to attack the father of the Oregon shooter.

“I absolutely believe he has no right to be lecturing the rest of us,” Jindal said on ABC’s “This Week” Sunday. “Gun control’s not going to solve this.”

Earlier this month, Jindal called Harper-Mercer’s father Ian Mercer “the problem” after he called for more gun control in the wake of his son’s attack.

“He’s a complete failure as a father, he should be embarrassed to even show his face in public,” Jindal wrote on his website.

On Sunday, Jindal also blamed “moral decay” for the shooting, saying a culture of violent video games, television and songs provoke mass shooters. Jindal said that because the shooter’s father “by his own admission” wasn’t involved in the shooter’s life, he had no right to call for greater gun control.

    Why is the killers father off limits?
    Dylann Roofs father was savaged by the media for giving his son a gun, something he didn’t even do. Chris mercer didn’t become a killer in a vacuum. He was improperly socialized as a child. Ian Mercer had one job as a parent and he and his wife failed miserably. He should bear this stain for the rest of his life. 9 people are dead because he didn’t do his job. Guns don’t make people killers. Their environment does.

    LOL! Bobby “What, me worry?” Jindal throwing stones. If anybody knows about “complete failures” and being an embarrassment, it would be Jindal since he’s had so much experience in that department.

    You didn’t print the part where Jindal said the father wasn’t in the kids life for many years. Yes, he didn’t know anything about his son, what the kid was doing nothing. Jindal is right, the guy was an bad father. There is no way an absentee father can be a good role model for his son.

      Yes that’s how he failed, I grew up with plenty of friends whose parents were divorced, nearly every one saw dad at least every other weekend

      The Oregon mass murderers mother is a gun nut paranoid ‘Prepper gun hoarder’. She enabled, funded and armed the killer. Both were mentally ill and unfit for guns or ammo possession. Glenn Beck, Alex Jones & GOP TV lost another killer devotee.
