First Grader In Georgia Bullied By Teachers Until He Agreed To Join Class Prayer

A lawsuit was recently settled in which teachers at Swainsboro Primary School in Georgia basically coaxed, cajoled, and finally bullied a first grader until the child agreed to participate in daily school prayer.

Keep in mind this child came from a family that was non-religious, and isn’t prayer in public schools supposed to be illegal as per numerous Supreme Court rulings?

Two students, one in kindergarten and the other a first-grader, were identified in the suit as Jamie and Jesse Doe. They brought the forced prayers to the attention of the parents, identified as John and Jane Doe, in August 2014. John Doe notified the school that teacher-led prayers were a violation of the constitutional rights of his family….READ MORE at LiberalAmerica

And yet the same people who support this crap would be 100% against any form of Islamic Sharia law.

  2. Budda October 12th, 2015 at 12:10

I would hope the individual teachers directly involved were sued

    • Larry Schmitt October 12th, 2015 at 12:12

And the principal and the school board too.

Pray or I will kick your ass..and remember Jesus loves you!

      And he needs money.

If I was required to pray to a Sky Daddy up above, I’d pick Jabba.

They were teaching him what its like to own a bakery in Oregon

    • Larry Schmitt October 12th, 2015 at 13:39

Yeah, because forcing people to not discriminate is the same thing as forcing kids to follow a religion they don’t believe in.

    • William October 12th, 2015 at 16:34

That’s right, because Jesus talked about this often.

Matthew 6:5-6 ; “And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are:
for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of
the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They
      have their reward.

But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast
shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father
which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.”

Stop embarrassing yourself. The bakers went into business to bake cakes, no one asked them to do anything outside of that. Children go to school to learn skills that will help them become productive members of society. Praying to a deity isn’t one of those skills.

      • Hirightnow October 12th, 2015 at 16:56

Also, education tends to be a mandatory thing…opening a bakery was their choice.

    • whatthe46 October 12th, 2015 at 16:59

you must really be attached to stupidity.

    • bpollen October 13th, 2015 at 06:42

And which bakery was forced to pray to Harry Potter or Batman or some other fictional character? I’ll wait for the name of the bakery, and who forced them to pray, because you aren’t just an empty suit, you’re a man with Facts! Right?

Were you outraged when students were forced to watch An Inconvenient Truth?

    • whatthe46 October 12th, 2015 at 20:10

what the hell is wrong with you?

      • Robert M. Snyder October 12th, 2015 at 20:49

Oh God. How much time have you got? :-)

    • rwgate October 12th, 2015 at 20:23

Religion is specifically banned from public school classrooms by the Constitution and Supreme Court cases. You know that, and yet, you struggle to find some false equivalency.

      • Robert M. Snyder October 12th, 2015 at 20:49

An Inconvenient Truth is a propaganda film.

Even if it was, which it isn’t, it, unlike prayer, is not forbidden by the Constitution. And yes, it is based on science, unlike the fantasy and mythology of the bible.

    • tracey marie October 12th, 2015 at 20:27

science scares you and makes you babble incoherently.

      • Robert M. Snyder October 12th, 2015 at 20:50

An Inconvenient Truth is not based on science. It is a propaganda film.

        • rwgate October 12th, 2015 at 21:34

Not according to 97% of all the climate scientists in the world.

          • Robert M. Snyder October 12th, 2015 at 22:02

Please provide a link to the study which asked climate scientists to assess the accuracy of the film An Inconvenient Truth.

            • Obewon October 13th, 2015 at 06:37

Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth” film was “broadly accurate” according to an expert witness called when an attempt was made through the courts to prevent the film being shown in schools.

All Al Gore “An Inconvenient Truth” income from box offices, speaking fees, DVD’s, Books, awards, etc is donated to charity earning $100 M+ https://www.looktothestars.org/celebrity/al-gore NASA Validated Gore’s peer-reviewed data long ago, http://climate.nasa.gov/vital-signs/carbon-dioxide/ And through to the present day. http://climate.nasa.gov/evidence/

Scientists spend a lot of time and energy competing for funding. If you don’t think that scientists are affected by monetary concerns, then you don’t know much about how research funding works.

                For example:

“About 7 years ago, I was at a small meeting of NASA-affiliated scientists and was told by our top manager that he was told by his NASA boss that we should not try to publish papers contrary to the current global warming claims, because he (the NASA boss) would then have a headache countering the “undesirable” publicity. I inferred from this that the real problem was the large amount of funds NASA obtains from claims of dire climate change, and that suggestions to the contrary threatened those.”

“I witnessed similar reluctance for scientists at other organizations to publicly criticize modeling they deemed sloppy because even if they themselves were not at the forefront, they also benefited from the great amount of funds made available. So, it is not just those funded by environmentalists or dirty energy companies who have conflicts, but indeed all receiving government funds based on the great societal consequences of dire warming. It is still dangerous for me to say such things since I am still funded entirely through NASA.”

Climate denier Robert Snyder-burns Toxic Oil sludge to heat his new house! NASA debunked the crap out of you & your Greedy Oil Polluter party. Amos, Jonathon, “Arctic summers ice-free ‘by 2013,’” BBC News. 12 Dec 2007: “Scientists in the US have presented one of the most dramatic forecasts yet for the disappearance of Arctic sea ice.”-True! The North Polar Sea is now a summer shipping lane. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/7139797.stm
Hanley, Charles J., “Gore: Polar ice may vanish in 5-7 years,” Associated Press. 15 Dec 2009. Good luck debunking 97% of climate scientists. You Snyder are the root cause: ‘modern global warming climate change is 80% caused by human burning fossil fuels, 20% caused by human deforestation’-NASA, NOAA, UK MET, 97% of climate scientists et al http://climate.nasa.gov/causes/

        • bpollen October 13th, 2015 at 00:57

Please, show your evidence that it is a propaganda film. You make a claim, maybe you can actually back it up sometime?

          • Robert M. Snyder October 13th, 2015 at 01:04

How about if you prove that it is a science film. How many of Uncle Al’s predictions have come true? He has already admitted to advocating ethanol for political reasons despite knowing that it does more harm than good. He has made big bucks from green companies that benefitted from the hysteria spawned by his propaganda. Any time someone advocates that we spend billions of dollars on a “problem”, you can be sure that someone is eagerly waiting to receive those billions. Corporations have discovered that green sells, and Gore is their well-paid shill.

            • bpollen October 13th, 2015 at 02:01

See, I didn’t claim it was a “science film.” You claimed it was a “propaganda film.” Since I didn’t make a claim, I don’t have a claim to prove. Conversely, you DID make a claim, so it is incumbent upon you to provide corroboration for your assertion. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. Of course, as we all know, you HAVE no evidence that the film is a Goebbels-like creation to convince people that a massive conspiracy including 97% of climate scientists is actually telling the truth.

You brought up a climate change movie in some incompetent diversion attempt because you can’t argue convincingly that forcing a child to pray to your Gawd is a GOOD thing. So you bring up a totally spurious analogy, and then make outrageous claims about it.

Just can’t get it up? Facts, that is…

              • Robert M. Snyder October 13th, 2015 at 02:13

There you go again, jumping to conclusions. I strongly disapprove of indoctrinating school students. I hate it when religious folks do it and I hate it when liberals do it. My point is that liberals are just as bad as conservatives. And as a non-religious person, I see very little difference between liberal dogma and conservative/religious dogma.

                • bpollen October 13th, 2015 at 02:26

Short version: I have no proof of my claim, now let me explain how it’s somebody else’s fault. Claim some outrageous bullshit, refuse to support it, and try to blame other people for your inadequacies.

Either you can prove it, or you are a base liar. Which one is most obviously true is up to you. If you have it (evidence, that is) then whip it out, Bobby. Guess which way I lean? As my stepfather (Gawd rest his soul) would put it: “You let your eagle mouth overload your butterfly ass.” Another one of his that fits: “If bullshit was music, you’d be a marching band.”

                  • Robert M. Snyder October 13th, 2015 at 02:41

I claimed that none of Al Gore’s predictions have come true. Funny how you never bothered to provide a counter-example. Yeah, that’s what I thought. You can’t. Because it’s a propaganda film and you’re drunk the Kool-Aid.

                    • bpollen October 13th, 2015 at 03:58

You didn’t prove your claim about the movie did you? Let’s see… no facts, no links, no corroboration? That’s a big fat NEIN on the proof front. Try again. The rest of your deflection is superfluous. Put up if you can, Bobby. “Hey, look over there!” and “Nuh-uh, you’re wrong” hardly constitutes proof of anything but the emptiness of your lies. Show us the proof of your claim of “propaganda film.” Then we can go on to other claims (his predictions didn’t come true or he’s a shill or he is a Reptilian from Uranus.) Let’s deal with your lies in order.

          one of your dummer comments.

          • Robert M. Snyder October 13th, 2015 at 05:26

Follow the money. Green sells, and Al Gore is a salesman.

    • bpollen October 13th, 2015 at 00:56

Because those two are totally analogous. Learning about global warming is just exactly like being browbeaten by adults into praying to some bearded fairy-godmother in the sky.

      You’re post in a nutshell:
