Chaffetz, during a Judiciary Committee hearing, remarked:

Did I look at the finances and have a hearing specifically as to the revenue portion and how they spend? Yes. Was there any wrongdoing? I didn’t find any….READ MORE at LiberalAmerica

So this is the domestic Benghazi. So they must have run out of post offices to name and National (fill in the blank) Days to proclaim.

    • katkelly57 October 9th, 2015 at 16:54

How ’bout National Fuck Off and Leave Me Alone GOP day?

      • Larry Schmitt October 9th, 2015 at 17:08

          • Larry Schmitt October 9th, 2015 at 18:02

I was wondering who would take that approach. I do that anyway. One drink a day. Just one.

    • rg9rts October 9th, 2015 at 17:58

They are trying to privatize the Postal Service too

      • whatthe46 October 9th, 2015 at 20:00

        you’re not serious?

        • Dwendt44 October 10th, 2015 at 00:44

They certainly are trying hard to kill it. Those huge pension payments (for employees that haven’t been hired yet) pushes the PO into the red.

        • rg9rts October 10th, 2015 at 04:44

          Dead serious

Same logic as, “don’t want to marry the same sex, don’t.”

Here I sit trying to stretch my reduced social security (because of a layoff), I currently pay $117.p/m for ACA, this month’s check will have my 1st Medicare deduction and THIS is what these mfers are doing with the 10% that’s withheld before my social security is deposited??

    • Jack E Raynbeau October 9th, 2015 at 17:54

Withheld? Why? Are you making more than allowed?

      • allison1050 October 9th, 2015 at 18:08

No, I had to take early social security about a year after my layoff so it’s reduced. I’m (anyone) is better off having the taxes withheld during the year rather than pay it at the end. I have 10% withheld every month but you can have more held back. Because of the layoff that also meant that my medical stayed behind thus ACA.

Interesting. I applied for SS and started receiving it the month I turned 62. I get the full amount each month minus Medicare. I’ve not had to pay income tax since I began SS. I pay a small amount of SS/Medicare based on my small business earnings.

          • allison1050 October 9th, 2015 at 19:45

Your getting Medicare this early? How long have you been getting SS?

            • Jack E Raynbeau October 9th, 2015 at 21:35

I’ll be 67 next month. That’s an old picture.;) SS for 5 years and Medicare for 2 years.

I don’t use Medicare but I think the VA bills them for part of my treatment. I think I pay something like $105/mo.

              • allison1050 October 9th, 2015 at 21:42

Looking great Jack and love the ‘do also. I’m learning about Medicare now and remember reading that doctors etc have to bill Medicare.
                $105..sweet.

                • Dwendt44 October 10th, 2015 at 00:42

The first $25,000 of Social Security is supposed to be tax exempt. It doesn’t end up that way, but it’s close. I pay taxes on my pension of course. The $105 for Medicare is standard. Now that I have to start drawing down my IRA, that will be taxable as well.
I’ve gotten refunds for years now and next year will be a lot closer to the mark tax wise.

Thank YOU! I’ll be checking into that as soon as I really wake up and have coffee.

                    Thank you!

                • teriod54 October 10th, 2015 at 18:33

Apply constantly. It takes forever and while you’re waiting find doctors that accept Medicare because a lot don’t

                  • allison1050 October 10th, 2015 at 20:23

Thanks to all of you guys for the info. I really appreciate it. I’ve had some confusion during and after chemo but am getting more clear of mind!

                  • Jack E Raynbeau October 10th, 2015 at 20:30

I found Medicare enrollment to be as close to automatic as it can get.

              • allison1050 October 10th, 2015 at 20:23

                And thank you!

  4. rg9rts October 9th, 2015 at 17:57

PP like Benghazi is the only issue the gopee can talk about and since they run congress they will continue to beat those dead horses until they are thrown out of office

    • Larry Schmitt October 9th, 2015 at 18:02

And everything they say about both is always 100% wrong.

  5. Suzanne McFly October 9th, 2015 at 19:50

This is what happens when your entire base are idiots. If they pulled their heads out and seen what the hell was going on, they would be pissed off at the misuse of millions if not billions of dollars.

  6. StoneyCurtisll October 9th, 2015 at 20:51

    Jason Chaffetz;…
How many more 10’s of Milliions of tax payers dollars can we waste on this investigation?

    • Kick Frenzy October 11th, 2015 at 00:12

I’m sure he has a chart for that…
