Rand’s Solution: ‘You Will Be Shot’ Stickers
Rand Paul knows what he’d do as president to cut down on school shootings. The answer is window stickers.
The Kentucky Republican told Iowa talk radio host Jan Mickelson that the Oregon shooting was “an incredible tragedy, but it’s even made worse by the president politicizing it and jumping in.” The president “doesn’t understand,” he said, that “the problem is mental illness and not necessarily gun registration or gun ownership.”
“The other common denominator, other than mental illness,” he added, “is that people are going to places where guns are prohibited. So when you have a gun-free zone at a school, it’s like an invitation, if you are crazy and want to shoot people, that’s where you go. I would do the opposite. I would have and encourage every school in American put stickers on every window going into the school saying, ‘We are armed. Come in at your own peril. We have concealed carry for teachers who have it and we also have armed security and you will be shot.’”

I wonder where he stole that idea from?..I pull my kid out of school if our teachers start carrying weapons…I know quite a few teachers, who are totally against any weapons in school..they have enough to deal with, when the republicans keep cutting their budgets, and wages…our teachers need less worries not more…

this freak is an idiot. i would pull my child out of school as well. it’s also dangerous for teachers to have weapons in that, if you have a student that wants to cause harm, he will find a way to get a hold of those weapons. what other stupid idea can they come up with. and look at the pot calling the kettle black. they are ranting and raving about the president using this as a political issue and they are doing the same damn thing. our president is calling out for common sense and these idiots are calling for more guns. JESUS CHRIST!!!!

I remember that episode, too! I’m crying inside because NOTHING has changed in the attitude of the gun nuts except that it’s gotten worse.
If this episode were rereleased with new actors and a different setting, the NRA in fact would have the power to have the show cancelled.

Ya know Buford, I teach and have weapons myself, but if I was asked, required, or expected to bring a weapon to the classroom I’d quit. I’m trying to teach kids to use their minds to solve problems, not weapons.

Alright, fine. As a teacher, I will arm myself and all other teachers will also be armed, then we will put up warning signs all over the building. When children are killed by getting their hands on our guns or we accidentally kill one of them, what will we do then? How many children will need to die before we realize this was not a good idea? Can we just kill them now and get it over with so we can come up with a common sense idea?

Why not arm the students, too? I mean, if a teacher is busy grading papers, writing on the blackboard, etc., he/she won’t be in any position to draw fast enough to outdraw the millions of terrorists infiltrating our schools today. Having armed students as backup is a good thing.
