Candi Kinney is the owner of Roseburg Gun Shop in Roseburg, Oregon. Yes, that is indeed the very same Roseburg, Oregon that has been in the news this week because a man walked onto the campus of a community college and shot 10 people dead.

But hey, why let that stand in the way of making a buck? And Candi Kinney knows how to make a buck selling guns. She has even made sure and ordered more AR-15 assault rifles like the one Christopher Harper Mercer used to commit mass murder. Her reasoning is simple:

I’ve just ordered some more ARs. There’s always a rush on them after a big shooting. We can’t keep the stuff on the shelves….READ MORE at LiberalAmerica

The best comment was by the one individual that was armed and didn’t pull his gun out…SWAT was coming and I didn’t want to be shot…so much for the NRA approach of arming everyone

The one trained good guy with a gun was afraid to get involved. I can’t say that I blame him but it certainly puts to rest the ridiculous meme that all you need is a good guy with a gun.

      • rg9rts October 4th, 2015 at 11:39

        The cops are more dangerous

      • whatthe46 October 4th, 2015 at 14:10

he wasn’t afraid of the murderer, he was afraid of the cops not knowing who was who. made a hellava lot of sense.

        • thinkingwomanmillstone October 4th, 2015 at 17:54

I said I didn’t blame him….it’s a myth that having a gun will stop this for the very reason that he hesitated… the cops will shoot first and say oops later.

I wonder if Candi Kinney sold the mass murder, (Chris Harper Mercer) any of his weapons…
They found 4-5 on scene murder weapons, (firearms).. and another 7 firearms in his home…

    • whatthe46 October 3rd, 2015 at 21:01

i hope it’s true. thing is, people like her who does dumb crap like this, and think it’s cool to put themselves out there for 15mins of fame, get much more than what they bargin for. much like the twat davis.

  8. Warman1138 October 3rd, 2015 at 21:06

The sad thing about tragedies of gun violence is the call for everyone to arm themselves, it’s like dealing with the situation with a futile gesture.

    • StoneyCurtisll October 3rd, 2015 at 21:12

      yeah…:)
the way to stop gun violence is more guns…(insanity)

      • Warman1138 October 3rd, 2015 at 21:25

Absolutely, every time this happens somebody jumps up and starts calling for more armed people and more guns …….weird.

        • StoneyCurtisll October 3rd, 2015 at 21:35

          Yeah
          Key words…The NRA

          • Warman1138 October 3rd, 2015 at 21:44

Makes one wonder how many lives have been lost and damaged so the NRA can up its self and the manufactures can claim an extra dollar.

      • bpollen October 4th, 2015 at 06:03

Wouldn’t that mean that the answer to flooding is more flooding? The way to stop fires is to start more fires? I can’t quite put my finger on exactly what, but something seems wrong with that logic. Maybe if I had a cache of firearms of my very own it would make sense.

        • StoneyCurtisll October 4th, 2015 at 15:38

          Thats right..
          Ya gotta fight water with…
          Oh never mind..:)

  11. dewired4u October 3rd, 2015 at 23:08

Writing in the Sydney Morning Herald, Michael Pascoe blasted American society as immature and unable to take basic actions to save lives:

In his very fine speech this morning, full of sorrow and
frustration, President Obama made a mistake: Australia is not like the
United States. We decided not to be.

We decided to grow up instead and become a more reasonable, rational
society that explicitly values human life and prefers to think the best
of people, rather than the worst.

The US is too immature a society to be allowed to play with guns. It
has never shed its Wild West mythology. Americans still use their courts
to kill people, which sends a message in its own way… It’s a country
that values property more than life.

illinoisidiot thinks it’s awesome. no surprises there.

  16. thinkingwomanmillstone October 4th, 2015 at 11:33

I’m sure Candi will tithe a portion of her profits to her good Christian church. In fact she may have sold some of the guns that were used to that unstable murderer. Her glee in the face of such tragedy shows the venality of the gun business.

  17. illinoisboy1977 October 4th, 2015 at 13:53

That’s because the smart people know that meeting force with force is the best way to protect oneself.
