Poll Shows Carson Topping Trump

Posted by | October 3, 2015 20:00 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics

This is depressing. It shows how ignorant voters are that they support someone who is equally ignorant about what you must be good at to be president. Don’t keep telling me what a brilliant doctor he was as if that means he should run the country. The IBD/TIPP poll shows Donald Trump now in second place.

The nationwide survey found that 24% of Republicans back Carson, compared with 17% who say they support Trump.

Marco Rubio came in third with 11% and Carly Fiorina fourth at 9%. Jeb Bush, once considered a prohibitive favorite, ranked fifth with just 8% support, which was a point lower than those who say they are still undecided.

The IBD/TIPP Poll has a proven track record for accuracy, based on its performance in the past three presidential elections. In a comparison of the final results of various pollsters for the 2004 and 2008 elections, IBD/TIPP was the most accurate. And the New York Times concluded that IBD/TIPP was the most accurate among 23 polls over the three weeks leading up to the 2012 election.

His turn for the 15 minutes.
    He must have out-stupid Trump-et.

This really speaks volumes about the state of the Republican Party today. You have to wonder if Carson’s lead is an expression of “white guilt” over the almost lily-white GOP’s outrageous treatment of President Obama. That Carson surged into the lead after Pope Francis’ visit to the U.S. is no accident, as far as I’m concerned.

It’s the old, ‘look we are not really racist cause we support Dr. Ben Carson” ideal….
But when it comes down to to the wire, he will the thrown under the bus if favor of the more traditional ‘White Male republican’ candidate.

Carson is just as white supremacist as the rest of them.

    No need to worry..
The GOP/RNC will never choose a “negro” to be their primary candidate..
Much less their choice for presidential aspirations…

This would sound good if it wasn’t for the fact that Carson is being managed by, ” THE COMMITTEE ” to try and secure the Black Vote. It is sad that Carson is so Stupid in politics that he is letting himself be used in this manner. I do believe and have faith in our Black population that they will see through this False attempt at a campaign. The Black People of this Country are not the blind faith Followers of the Democrat Party that the Republicans think they are. People White or Black can think for themselves and Black People do a very Good job of thinking when it comes to their politics.

carson has serveral problems. one, he’s a repig, two, he thinks like a racist white man and three, he has talked down to and about black people. they are too stupid to understand that black people are indeed not as ignorant as they’d like to believe.

I believe Carson started out on his own. In the past while he has changed to a managed piece of Republican Real Estate. He was going nowhere and now he is rising fast. His message has changed and so have his donations. He is definitely OWNED.

        • whatthe46 October 4th, 2015 at 01:24

you are competely on target. he’s definitely owned.

Watch for Rove to swift boat Carson just like he did Herman Cain.

It may be an accurate poll, but the greater issue is that the GOP electorate has the attention span of a gnat. This was shown to be especially true in the run-up to the 2012 election. Remember how the lead changed every two weeks or so? Newt Gingrich was fun to watch as he was absolutely convinced he would be the nominee when he once topped the polls. Herman Cain was drunk with affectation when he led. What a hoot it was to hear “Nine, nine, nine!”

At this point, Republicans go with whoever the media is talking about at the moment. Dr. Ben Carson, this is your time. Relish it, because you’ll be a footnote in a year.

We are living in a parallel universe what happens here is just the opposite of the other universe there they have politicians who want to help their country they take care of the environment and don’t have wars etc but here everything is back ass-wards…….that’s the only thing I can think of that makes any since.

It’s like choosing crazy over other crazy , it’s still just crazy in the end.

  10. labman57 October 3rd, 2015 at 22:13

Trump vs. Carson = Bombast vs. Sanctimony

  11. jasperjava October 3rd, 2015 at 23:51

    This is NOT an improvement.

I get the sense that Trump says stupid shit to bamboozle the rubes, but doesn`t actually believe the ignorant crap he says. It`s all a big joke to him.

I don`t get the same feeling with Carson: I think he may very well be insane and actually believes the crazy psycho vomit that he spews.

As I recall, a similar thing happened in 2012 – candidate after candidate would rise up in the polls to be the frontrunner, only to drop back down again a few weeks later. The person that won in the end was the person who maintained a constant level of support, always somewhere between 2nd and 4th. So the question is, who is holding steady this time around? I’m starting to think it might end up being Rubio.

And the Trumpnado will say ” that is not possible, IBD/TIPP are losers. I’m #1 and I will always be”
