Peterson: Gay Marriage ‘Based On Sex…It’s Not About Love’

Posted by | September 18, 2015 22:00 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics Religion

Jesse Lee Peterson, who thinks Kim Davis is akin to Rosa Parks, can’t understand that two people of the same gender can actually love each other.

…Peterson explained that it’s an entirely different issue because unlike such marriages, “homosexuality is not about values” and “it’s not about love,” but instead is “based on sex.”

While homosexuality is all about sex, he explained, anti-gay discrimination has nothing to do with sex.

“A marriage is between a man and a woman, not between two men and two women,” he said. “That has been the rule forever, ever since mankind has been on earth, so what homosexuals are trying to do is to get you to change the rules based on sex. And Kim Davis is not concerned about who they have sex with, but when it comes to comparing it to a man and woman being married, then it’s a different story.”

Wrong…sex is what you have before you get married….it ends right after you say I do.
    Obviously this guy is single…

At least, that’s the story they’re stickin’ with…

    • The Original Just Me September 19th, 2015 at 09:46

True, marriage does not seem to be a requirement. The original meaning of Marry was for a man to have intercourse with another person. Nothing more than that.

  5. hillbillybuddha September 19th, 2015 at 02:25

Bottom line on Kim Davis, she is a victim of judicial tyranny. No laws were broken. A Judges opinion is not law.
You want fair? Then move to Fairy Land.
You want Liberty & Freedom? Then stand and fight, for your right, to…do whatever!

    • whatthe46 September 19th, 2015 at 02:35

to do whatever? yep, that’s about seriously stupid.

      • hillbillybuddha September 19th, 2015 at 03:07

Since I am stupid then perhaps you will engage me in political banter?
What law has Kim Davis broken, which required her to spend time in Jail?

        • whatthe46 September 19th, 2015 at 03:14

not following the law of the law of the land by not doing her job as a gov. employee. she disobeyed the courts order, therefore, she was in contempt of court and deserved to go to jail. she also deserves to lose her job. she has to follow the law period. don’t like your job requirement, leave. pure and simple.

          • hillbillybuddha September 19th, 2015 at 03:31

What law exactly did she break?

            • whatthe46 September 19th, 2015 at 03:42

i’ll say this one more time. and slowly so that you can ponder the answer ok? she. is. a. government. employee. she. cannot. disobey. a. court. order. she. does. not. have. the. right. to. discriminate. SCOTUS. has. ruled. if. she. cannot. follow. the. laws. of. the. land. then. she. must. go. to. jail.
got it now? if not, then i can’t help you.

              • hillbillybuddha September 19th, 2015 at 12:51

SCOTUS has become a rogue court. SCOTUS cannot legislate law from the bench. Kim Davis broke no law. However she devied a rogue decision like a true patriot.

                • Carla Akins September 19th, 2015 at 13:01

No, you are wrong. It’s a valid ruling and one that has to be followed, your opinion does not change this fact. Find a different point or go elsewhere. Repeating the same inaccurate rants makes you look foolish.

                • bpollen September 19th, 2015 at 23:56

                  “devied”

I can’t argue with your statement because “devied” isn’t a word. Which makes your statement doubly non-sensical.

The Supreme Court did not “legislate.” They said that the Constitution gives rights to all, and not just some people. That’s their job according to the Constitution.

Patriots don’t violate the rights of others. Another word you don’t understand. Like “legislate” and “rogue” and “Constitution” and “Supreme” and “law” and “oath” and “tyranny” and “treason” and “scope” and pretty much everything you type.

                  Someday maybe… they’ll build a better idiot.

                  • hillbillybuddha September 20th, 2015 at 22:43

“denied”, simple typo. Why all the fuss? Have you no inference skills?
Apparently you would like to bestow rights to all sorts of “minorities”. Fact is the Constitution is designed to protect the individual’s natural born rights, which include life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The Constitution is not set up to allow a central government control over everyone’s life. It is none of my business nor the government’s business who you suck. That is your business and it is my right not to be forced to accept your business as my business. The government wants to make it my business and charge me for it indirectly through taxes fees and licences. You support it because you are a fascists. The government has no business regulating and legislating anyone’s marriage.
Up yours, asshole. You dont scare me. You can do what you want, just don’t expect me to pay for it. And stay out of my face punk.

                    • bpollen September 20th, 2015 at 23:23

Once again, you prove your ignorance of the document you are larnin’ me about, Cletus. And the homophobic attack? Priceless!

You say the government doesn’t have the right to tax you. Constitution says they do. You want to use the government to deny equal rights. Constitution says you can’t. You say people are fascists because you don’t like what the government says. It doesn’t take the Constitution to prove that you don’t know what “fascist” means since you so generously show us in how you use it.

Obviously you can’t argue on the merits and that’s getting under your skin. Imply I’m gay, call me asshole, call me punk, threaten me. Pitiful sniveling over your impotence… Grade school taunts and threats. Muy macho!

            • bpollen September 19th, 2015 at 05:30

Contempt of court. Not a law, but a requirement of a judge. She failed to comply. She got the punishment she knew she could get. One of those legal things that seem to have escaped you. Plus all the press, tv, radio, and internet reporting that stated she was jailed for contempt of court.

No law? The requirement of the Judge was to disregard current law (essentially break the current law) and you are ok with that? The Judge has violated his oath to the Constitution and compelled the Sheriff’s dept to violate their oath of office in order to jail Kim Davis. That is what I call Judicial Tyranny.
And you and your ilk are ok with that? If so, you are treasonous.

                • Carla Akins September 19th, 2015 at 12:59

No, the judge did not. He held up a legal SCOTUS ruling (one he disagreed with) because he know it is the lawful and legal act. The judge did not violate his oath, he’s doing his job even if he doesn’t like it. The Sheriff did not violate his oath, his is to arrest and jail someone for contempt of court. Everyone here is doing their job but Davis.

                • bpollen September 19th, 2015 at 15:41

No, the judge did no such thing.

Any law that violates a Supreme Court ruling is invalid. Any law that was contrary to a ruling by the Supreme Court becomes unenforceable. Ergo, he cannot “break” a law that is both invalid and unenforceable. THAT would be “breaking the current law.” And I am OK with that.

Treason according to the Constitution – Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.

Complying with the United States Supreme Court is legally required. Which, if we use your lunatic fringe bullsugar, would mean that the Constitution friggin’ mandates treason.

I will say that it nice how the ignorant are so bound and determined to prove it. Thanks for the public service

        Plain and Simple. Yes.

      • hillbillybuddha September 19th, 2015 at 12:48

The law recognizes a marriage between man and woman only. Kim Davis broke no law.

        • Carla Akins September 19th, 2015 at 12:55

You know that Federal law supercedes state law. Same-sex marriage is legal. Ms Davis is in violation of her oath of office and more than one contempt of court order. She doesn’t have to provide the license but she does have to resign her job. She does not get to do both. If personal religious views were allowed to ignore laws and regulations, denying other’s their rights – it would be anarchy. Just because you don’t like the law, doesn’t make it any less valid.

          • hillbillybuddha September 19th, 2015 at 12:59

According to the Constitution of the United States of America, State law rules. In the State of Kentucky the law recognizes a marriage between a man and a woman only. Kim Davis broke no law.

            • Carla Akins September 19th, 2015 at 13:02

You know that is not accurate. In the law of the United States, federal preemption is the invalidation of a U.S. state law that conflicts with Federal law.

            • William September 19th, 2015 at 13:29

“According to the Constitution of the United States of America, State law rules”

The Supremacy Clause is the provision in Article Six, Clause 2 of the United States Constitution that establishes the United States Constitution, federal statutes, and treaties as “the supreme law of the land.” It provides that these are the highest form of law in the United States legal system, and mandates that all state judges must follow federal law when a conflict arises between federal law and either a state constitution or state law of any state.

            • Carla Akins September 19th, 2015 at 13:43

No. Again – hen state law and federal law conflict, federal law displaces, or preempts, state law, due to the Supremacy Clause of the Constitution. U.S. Const. art. VI., § 2. Preemption applies regardless of whether the conflicting laws come from legislatures, courts, administrative agencies, or constitutions. For example, the Voting Rights Act, an act of Congress, preempts state constitutions, and FDA regulations may preempt state court judgments in cases involving prescription drugs. And the supremacy clause always trumps state laws when applying it to the 14th amendment. This is well established law.

            • bpollen September 19th, 2015 at 23:05

I see you never read the Supremacy Clause. Think of it as the Sanity Clause…

              • hillbillybuddha September 20th, 2015 at 22:49

I can see now how you are corrupted. You are concerned with control and oppression. These are your true passions. Sucking cock must be only a hobby for you.

        • rg9rts September 19th, 2015 at 13:18

The law says she must issue licenses..and the SCOTUS says differently about marriage

        • bpollen September 19th, 2015 at 23:40

Laws that restrict marriage to only a man and a woman became null and void the moment that the Supreme Court ruled…

Obergefell v. Hodges, 576 U.S. ___ (2015), is a landmark United States Supreme Court case in which the Court held in a 5–4 decision that the fundamental right to marry is guaranteed to same-sex couples by both the Due Process Clause and the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution.

State law has NEVER “trumped” (heheheh) the Constitution. According to the Constitution, it CAN’T. Judges and public servants like Misanthrope Kim Davis SWORE to uphold the Constitution. The judge DID his duty. Kim Davis thinks she should be able to deny people the rights delineated IN the Constitution. As if some inbred philandering yutz was superior the the SUPREME court…

It’s amazing how many people claim shite about the Constitution without the slightest inkling of what’s in it except for the 1st, 2nd, and 5th Amendment. And even THOSE they are grossly uninformed about. It’s like Republicans and Conservatives and Evangelicals all slept through civics in school.

Any law which seeks to regulate and control a marriage of two people is unconstitutional.

            • bpollen September 20th, 2015 at 23:12

Wrong. Marriage is not mentioned in the Constitution. You should actually acquaint yourself with this document you keep mentioning (and proving your incredible ignorance of) rather than humiliating yourself like this. But, frankly, since you are so supportive of denying others their constitutional rights, I actually hope you continue giving me opportunity to laugh at you.

              Read this:

You are a true zombie. An Ozombie. Where did I say marriage is in the constitution? So long rabble rouser. You have proved your insanity quite well.

                • bpollen September 21st, 2015 at 00:14

“Any law which seeks to regulate and control a marriage of two people is unconstitutional.”

If it’s unconstitutional, it must say something about it in the Constitution. If there is something in the Constitution that prevents regulation of contracts, you are gonna have to point it out, since it is YOU that claims the Constitution precludes it.

Again with the name calling. More proof that you don’t have actual facts to support your laughable assertions. See, people who have actual facts don’t NEED to make grade-school insults and threats. But people who are running on Intellectual Empty on the other hand… that’s all they have left!

                  “Rabble rouser…” Freakin’ hilarious!

    • bpollen September 19th, 2015 at 05:27

A Judges opinion is not law.

A judge’s opinion interprets law. The Supreme Court interpreted the 14th Amendment to say that gays were due equal protection of the law. There is NO higher court to counter that interpretation. To change that protection to EXCLUDE gays would require a Constitutional amendment. Which you ain’t gonna get.

If you don’t like how the three branches of government work, get yourself elected King of Amerikkka and change it! Kim Davis, like thy own self, is an ignorant hick who thinks laws don’t apply to her cuz she is SO special…

      • The Original Just Me September 19th, 2015 at 09:24

She is definitely breaking Man’s law bey trying to interject God’s Law or her own personal interpretation of God’s Law. These re two separate Types of Laws and are enforced by entirely different means. You can not use one type of Law to override another type of law when the laws come from entirely different sources and authorities.

      • hillbillybuddha September 19th, 2015 at 12:46

A judge cannot change the scope and spirit of a law with interpretation. If a judge attempts to do so they become ROGUE and any “interpretations” become treasonous.

        • William September 19th, 2015 at 13:24

“A judge cannot change the scope and spirit of a law with interpretation”

Interpreting the law is precisely the job description of the supreme court…and guess what?

The nation’s highest court has found that the U.S. Constitution requires states to license and recognize marriages between two people of the same sex, making marriage equality officially — after decades of litigation and activism — the law of the land.
A persons religious beliefs do not preclude their sworn duties.
If that were true, a fundamental Muslim could refuse to issue a woman driving credentials.
This is not a theocracy. Trailer park drama queen has the option to simply quit.
Her real hypocrisy aside from her infidelity is staying in a place that violates her cherry picked religious excuse.
          Note.
I felt the need to use the word excuse instead of belief. She is clearly using the Bible as a feeble prop and excuse for her hate.

        • bpollen September 19th, 2015 at 15:32

Incorrect. Wrong. Not true. Pick one or use all three.

A judge interprets law. That is as our Constitution set it up. DIg up a founding father to bitch if you don’t like the way America’s legal system works. If you don’t understand jurisprudence, perhaps you shouldn’t pontificate about it and prove it to all and sundry. And the fact that you use ROGUE and treasonous for judgements you don’t like show that you not only are ignorant of law and the meanings of words, but that you are FOX ignorant.

    • BigDumbWhiteGuy September 19th, 2015 at 08:18

No, she’s a victim of her own delusions. She does not have the authority to deny marriage licenses to eligible couples. Especially not under “God’s authority.”

      • The Original Just Me September 19th, 2015 at 09:18

You take the job, you do the work.

      • hillbillybuddha September 19th, 2015 at 12:37

There are laws on the books. There are existing laws in the state of KY. Are you suggesting we disregard laws and make stuff up as we go? Why would you do that?
        What law has she broken?

        • The Original Just Me September 19th, 2015 at 18:18

Those LAWS were struck DOWN by the Supreme Court of The United States Of America. Get it ?

        • tracey marie September 19th, 2015 at 18:24

shut up and stop fantasing about mens dicks.

        • BigDumbWhiteGuy September 19th, 2015 at 19:49

There is no law on the books in Kentucky that forbids same-sex couples from receiving a secular marriage license. She defied a court order to do her job, and issue marriage licenses to all eligible couples.

    • The Original Just Me September 19th, 2015 at 09:15

Are you actually able to believe what you post ?

      • hillbillybuddha September 19th, 2015 at 12:35

I am looking for the law she broke to end up in jail, can you help?

        • The Original Just Me September 19th, 2015 at 12:57

I am only going to answer one of your posts as I believe you get a bonus off from each reply you get for your filthy, ignorant posts. That is my opinion. There was a case before the Supreme Court of the United States of America. In the conclusion from that case, it was determined that any and all laws and etc. that prohibited or refused a wedding license to a couple based on their sexual orientation was Unconstitutional in the boundaries of the U.S. She, Violated this Court ruling by refusing to issue weddings licenses to anyone. Her arrest was for defying a Federal Court Order. Is that plain enough for your Pity, Ignorant, Little, Brain to understand ?

        • tracey marie September 19th, 2015 at 18:25

she disobeyed a judge and the law.

  6. The Original Just Me September 19th, 2015 at 03:24

Did this guy say anything ?

    • Suzanne McFly September 19th, 2015 at 10:57

I seen words, but none of them made sense.

  7. bpollen September 19th, 2015 at 05:36

His statement begs the question – is he saying this because none of HIS male partners were into commitment?

    • William September 19th, 2015 at 09:47

That is precisely why right wing conservative Christian males are so against gay marriage. Their secret boyfriends are now demanding some sort of commitment.

      • bpollen September 19th, 2015 at 16:11

They all want it on the DL… and dirty!!!

        • The Original Just Me September 19th, 2015 at 18:15

Reference Larry Craig, EX-Senator from Idaho.

    • The Original Just Me September 19th, 2015 at 18:13

If you were or are, or what ever, into men, would you want to be committed to some one like him ?

      • bpollen September 19th, 2015 at 18:41

I don’t like loudmouths and bigots, so that would be a big fat NO! If I were gay, I wouldn’t even date him. let alone commit to him. Now, screwing him OVER has a certain appeal, but that is another issue entirely.

        • The Original Just Me September 19th, 2015 at 23:52

Now there I am with you all the way.

  8. Carla Akins September 19th, 2015 at 06:12

No married couple I know, gay or straight thinks about sex as much as these guys. Seriously, it’s like they’re 13-year-old boys.

    • Larry Schmitt September 19th, 2015 at 07:20

But 13-year-old boys eventually grow up. People like this are stunted forever emotionally.

    • The Original Just Me September 19th, 2015 at 18:11

ALL men think about sex 13 times a hour. Women are different, they only think about sex twelve times a hour. Women are just naturally slower than men. At sex anyway. Have your laugh for today.

  9. Jeffrey Samuels September 19th, 2015 at 09:24

Yeah, gay people never get any sex, so they want to marry one individual so they can get laid.

    • The Original Just Me September 19th, 2015 at 18:07

I have know several homosexual people in my life. Although that is not my preference or style, I have most always like these people as people because that is what they are, PEOPLE.

      • Jeffrey Samuels September 21st, 2015 at 08:35

        couldn’t agree more.

        • The Original Just Me September 21st, 2015 at 11:33

People are just people and on this particular Rock, there are about seven and a half Billion DIFFERENT people. Out of all of those. I have found just a few that I did not really want to talk to again. But, that is their problem and not mine.

  10. Suzanne McFly September 19th, 2015 at 10:56

    WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

  11. jybarz September 19th, 2015 at 11:35

How did this irreverent a-hole become a Reverend?
A$$holes are never respected. That has been the rule ever since mankind has been on Earth, so what this a$$hole is trying to do is get us to change the rules based on a$$holery.

    • The Original Just Me September 19th, 2015 at 18:04

Very true, but just let your own asshole shut up for a few days and you will be sorry.
