53% Of Jeb’s Tax Cuts Would To The Top 1%

Jeb Bush wants to cut taxes for all Americans (likely increasing deficits and debt like every other modern Republican president), but most of the goodies would go to the super-rich according to an analysis from Citizens for Tax Justice.

It is difficult to structure an across-the-board tax cut that does not have this kind of regressive impact, for the simple reason that rich people pay in the low tax brackets as well as the high ones. Consequently, any tax cut that you give to the middle class is also a tax cut for the rich, but then to make it an across-the-board tax cut you need to add some tax cuts that only rich people get.

Why is this even news? What else would we expect from a Bush? Economic fairness?

Librull’s are dumb and just don’t get trickle down economics, the proof is overwhelming that it works…When Bush left office this country was in great shape, just look at how Obama has ruined all that in 6 1/2 short years…

That, as hard as it is to believe, is the GOP gospel.

Even increasing the ‘standard deduction’ would benefit the wealthy to some degree. I’ve often thought that even closing loop holes that the 1% love would only result in new ones being enacted in short order.

Hard to believe that when taxes are cut those that pay the most in taxes get the most from the tax cut.
