Ex-Students: Trump University A Scam Run By ‘Frauds’

Posted by | September 7, 2015 07:30 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics

What other presidential candidate could be popular with the voting public with this behind him or her?

According to the New York Daily News, ex-student Robert Guillo, 75, said that every workshop and class he attended charged a fee and that the nature of the business became clear to him very quickly.

“As soon as I attended the first workshop, I knew I had been scammed,” Guillo said to the NYDN. “Every single workshop, they charged you another amount. Everything was to get you to spend more and more and more.”

The office of New York’s attorney general said that former students in New York and California have filed suit against the now-defunct institution, claiming that instructors urged them to run up massive amounts of credit card debt to complete the training program…

“I wasted my entire life savings on Trump,” said Staten Island resident Nelly Cunningham. “I spent $1,495 on the Trump three-day seminar and $24,995 on the Trump Gold Elite mentorship package, only to be demeaned and belittled. I feel like such a fool.”

New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman told the Daily News that some 600 former students have filed suit in the Manhattan Supreme Court. A similar pair of class action suits are pending in California.

What’s he complaining about? It’s just good old-fashioned American capitalism. Fleece your customers for all they’re worth, and if they complain, tell them to pound sand. And this is the guy leading the republicans in all the polls? Let’s see how his fans react after this comes out.

It will have zero effect on his fans. Their dumb enough to still believe they still have a legitimate shot at being just like Trump.

I’m afraid you’re right. I keep hoping the next repulsive thing he says will finally convince people that he’s the wrong guy, but he keeps leading. This does not reflect well on our country. It will be funny if, once the caucuses and primaries start, if he plummets to the bottom, which would prove what I have suspected from the beginning, that his supporters don’t actually vote. That’s what I’m counting on.

There is nothing Trump can say that will dissuade his racist, xenophobic base. Their racist xenophobes, so there’s pretty much no bottom there.

Yeah, he may be a thief but he is not a politician damnit.

A lot of people have been very successful at being both.

Are people looking to get ripped off? This is what the Daily News story says about the highlighted subject, Robert Guillo: “As soon as I attended the first workshop, I knew I had been scammed,” Guillo said. “Every single workshop, they charged you another amount. Everything was to get you to spend more and more and more.” But he stayed with it long enough to throw $34,995 down the toilet. Why should the court consider giving his money back, he’ll blow it on something just as stupid. It’s hard to work up any sympathy for these “victims.”

I am completely SHOCKED that Thump University was a scam! Who would think a non-accredited, for profit program would be in it only for MONEY!

People who will vote for this cheat won’t care they will just think this is a “scandal” and that we are picking on their hero!

I don’t know what he’s bitchin about, he learned the key to a successful business in America…There’s a sucker born every minute and never underestimate the stupidity of the American public.
He probably thought there was more to it than that…sure depraved indifference to human life, abject greed, and a penchant for lying, all help, but it always goes back to the basics.

Congratulations, Nel, you finally got something right.

With 93% of all media owned by conservatives, including MSNBC, where is this liberal media?
