Trump Still Leads; Carson In Second

Posted by | August 17, 2015 11:30 | Filed under: Politics

Ben Carson is in second place according to a new Fox News poll.

Who’s up? Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and businesswoman Carly Fiorina. Who’s down? Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker.

The Democratic side’s getting more interesting too, as Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders continues to make gains on former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

The fact that Carson is in 2nd is scarier than Trump.

goes to show how pathetic the rest of the runners are that these two are up in polls. and it goes to show how pathetic those that are in favor of these two are as well.

If you say so….frankly, every one of them scare the bejeebers out of me.

I know. It’s pretty sad if you’re a republican. You’re down to voting for the least crappiest candidate.

Help me out here…which one is the least crappiest again…???

Judging by the turds on the republican ticket so far, I’m thinking that maybe he hasn’t entered the race yet.

Be more afraid of the reply I got when I talked to my mechanic “America is the same as a business. You know, with the IRS and all. What we need is a businessman to run the country.” He’s a really great mechanic, so I just smiled and said “I don’t really agree with a lot of what he says. What I want, is someone to tell me what they plan on doing. Period. What I want is for people who don’t have my plumbing to stay out of my plumbing.” I have no idea what he meant by the IRS in his metaphor. I didn’t want to go into the history of our founding Tax Dodgers, er I mean Taxation without representation. But the other stuff they attempted to do was, indeed, a lofty goal.

I think people have lost sight of that. This was an attempt at creating society that was trying to even the playing field. That every person should be heard, even though they considered that a person who owned property, but the premise was their. They knew things would grow and change. That we evolve. Why is it that we fail to recognize what was a failure, how it was recognized, and what the change in society as a whole created.

Ok, rant done. Sorry about that. Too much Sphincterface coverage today.

No problem (about the rant) sometimes the level of (hell, I don’t know what) is so great that if you don’t rant, your head will explode. I’m not comfortable with calling these folks stupid because I don’t think they really are, I also don’t think it’s dissonance – that’s the true believers (tea party). There does seem to be a large segment of the population that wants to angrily express their views without even a cursory attempt at learning anything about the topic at hand. You can forget them making any attempt at learning about government, politics, social programs and issues, the candidates or the Constitution. And of course, the folks vote, serve on juries and raise children. This is why we can’t have nice things.

He says I was born rich and got richer therefore vote for me!

The R’s are nothing but a protest party and are not interested in governing in any way, shape, or form. Their two leading candidates aren’t even politicians and have zero experience in government…

For those who say it doesn’t take any special experience or skill to be president I have one question….If you owned a ditch digging company, would you hire someone who has never dug a hole, held a shovel, or worked in the sun…???

  4. Chris August 17th, 2015 at 13:48

I think the Tea Party has taken over the Rs. They are solely interested in being entertained; they like Trump on TV programs, why not in the White House: “Tonight on WH, Trump browbeats Mexico, yells at Megyn Kelly again, and calls Congress ‘a pack of worthless losers.’ That’s tonight on WH!”

Why? Because policy has too many grey areas for them. They want everything (except video) to be black and white.
Immigration? Send ’em back and build a wall!
Marriage? A man and a woman, loser!
ISIS? Put boots on the ground and bomb ’em to hell!

Modern times scare them and they want easy answers. This is what dumbing down brings you.

Call me crazy but I think these polls mean nothing at this point. Only the teabag types are serious, the rest of us are enjoying the summer months.

    • jasperjava August 17th, 2015 at 21:11

I’m not going to call you crazy. I’m going to call the Republicans crazy for wanting to vote for those clowns.

      • Suzanne McFly August 17th, 2015 at 21:19

        No argument there.
