We can have Rosie O’Donnel moderate the implosions, that would be hilarious.

My mind is spinning. A group of guys sitting around self imploding while Rosie is there watching. NOPE, ain’t going to happen.

The fact that Trump is still polling so well says far more about the standards and character of the GOP electorate than it does about the qualifications of this self-absorbed, misogynistic gascon to be elected POTUS.
Trump’s strength is also his weakness — without the bombastic, bellicose bravado and insult-laden diatribes about his critics, Trump’s support base would scratch their heads and wonder why they found him to be appealing.

In your eloquent description of Trump, you left out Fart Brained, Bar Room Loud Mouth. But I’m okay with him. He is doing an excellent job of what needs to be done to the Tea Party/Republican Party.

Trump Still Frontrunner Post-Debate. A simple phrase that speaks volumes about the GOP

The party of Palin has spoken! GOP frontrunner Donnie embodies today’s Republiklan values.

The Republican electorate has no interest in government. It simply wants to be entertained.

The whooping and hollering during the “debate” should have been a clue.

The next debate needs a buxom, blonde bimbo with a mallet and a gong ,,,, just like that bad TV program

You know, false modesty aside, I consider myself a pretty savvy observer of American politics over the last few years. When Donald Trump went down that escalator to announce his circus-act candidacy I was among those who scoffed that he would go nowhere. Sure, I thought, he would get the support of a few misinformed morons who were impressed with his money, his celebrity, his bombast, his birther cred, his crude appeal to nativism. But I honestly never thought that this would go above the low single digits, even among Republicans. I thought that Trump would be a flash in the pan, a buffoon who would be there just for comic relief, kinda like Al Sharpton in 2004. Trump would be there to promote his “brand”, and quit after a few weeks to go host another season of “Celebrity Apprentice”.

I was wrong. I knew that there were a lot of idiots in the Republican Party, but I grossly underestimated their number. It’s a sad commentary on the once-great GOP to see that it has descended to this level. Eisenhower would be ashamed, and even Nixon and Reagan would be shocked. The party has become completely unhinged. It’s hilarious and scary at the same time. You just don’t know whether to laugh or cry. I choose to laugh for now, because I’m confident that these clowns could not get elected, but I’m troubled as well. I never anticipated the Rise of Trump; what if I end up being wrong about the coming general election? The whole world would be crying then, if any of these crazies becomes President.

I will keep my faith that the American people will do the right thing. True, they “elected” George W. B*$h, but everyone knows he never really was legitimately elected in the first place.

Like the old Chinese curse, we live in interesting times. Let’s hope they don’t get too interesting.
