New High For Trump In Polls

Posted by | August 4, 2015 09:23 | Filed under: Politics

Donald Trump’s poll numbers are improving.

Trump continues to gain ground in the race for the Republican nomination.  What’s more, the number of GOP primary voters saying they would at least consider backing Trump has more than doubled in the last two months.  Meanwhile, support for Democratic frontrunner former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton remains high, despite sliding to its lowest yet.

These are some of the findings from the latest Fox News national poll on the 2016 presidential race.

Trump receives the backing of 26 percent of self-identified Republican primary voters — up from 18 percent in mid-July and 11 percent a month ago. That’s not only the highest level of support for Trump, but it’s also the highest any GOP candidate has received since the Fox poll began asking the question in December 2013.

Trump’s rise hasn’t hurt former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, who garners 15 percent and is the only other Republican in double-digits.  He was at 14 percent in mid-July and 15 percent in June.

People on the right are fed up with their own party, Trump knows this and uses this to his advantage! Notice how some of the candidates are kissing his butt so not to be called out by Trump, once you are called out by Trump, you are done! IMO!

Trump is more moderate than much of his Republican competition. I don’t want someone who’s ultra-right oriented, any more than I want someone who’s ultra-left oriented. His appeal is in not conforming to the status quo. Not bending over and kissing anyone’s butt, simply because “that’s how it’s done”. I’ve been waiting a long time for a candidate to tell people what he ACTUALLY stands for and NOT apologize when someone finds it “offensive”. Politicans are untrustworthy scum, becuase they “evolve” their positions based on polling and the “outrage” of wussified little whiners, who get butthurt at the smallest semblence of a perceived sleight. I’m tired of voting for the one I hate the least, rather than the one I like the most.

Something similar was said about Silvio Berlusconi.

Possibly. But, that doesn’t mean Trump will go the way of Berlusconi.

          I’m detecting several similarities.
On the other hand: unlike Berlusconi, Trump didn’t get elected.

You painted a perfect picture of why the GOP politicians echo dishonesty in disarray. Repubs are diametrically opposed to Dems over-delivering on 3/4+ of campaign promises e.g. https://www.flickr.com/photos/speakerpelosi/13630053153/in/photostream/ <-BLS March 2014. As of 3/2015, 12 M+ Private Obama Jobs created. Vs Q4-08 $12.7 T GDP shrinking -9% APR vs 2014 U.S. record $17.5 T GDP growing +3% APR = +$5 T GDP!

    This gets better every day

Exactly! Fired gameshow host and bankruptcy expert Trump’16~

Because not one of today’s GOP candidates exhibit any honesty, scientific awareness, or economic literacy whatsoever!

Meanwhile 12 pages of campaign promises kept by POTUS Obama proves why the GOP lost 5 of the past 6 popular presidential votes and continuing into infinity! http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/promises/obameter/rulings/promise-kept/?page=12 <-via nonpartisan Pulitzer Prize winning PolitiFact.
