Robertson Amazed God Didn’t Smite Justices For Approving Gay Marriage

Posted by | July 27, 2015 17:00 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics Religion

Pat Robertson believes God should have struck down the Supreme Court justices who didn’t strike down gay marriage.

A viewer named Eugene who described himself as a “lifelong700 Club member” complained to Robertson during the “Bring It On” segment of the show that Republicans today had forgotten that justices handing down the Roe v. Wade were comprised of a “Republican majority.”

“Why are these men not called out for the genocide against the unborn?” Eugene asked. “Why did they live to be such an old age after committing such a despicable act that has brought a curse upon the land?”

“You’ll have to ask God why he didn’t kill them,” Robertson smiled in response. “I’m not in charge of the death or life of the Supreme Court judges. So, it’s in God’s hands whether they live a long life.”

Wonder if these fools realize they are making a case where the threat of Israel being wiped off the map, comes not from Iran but from the Supreme Being himself.

    http://www.christianexaminer.com/article/israeli.high.court.orders.gay.marriage.recognition/44040.htm

JERUSALEM — The land where Jesus once walked soon will recognize “gay marriage.”

In a landmark 6-1 decision, Israel’s Supreme Court Nov. 21 ordered the government to begin recognizing “gay marriages” from other countries, such as Canada. Although the decision doesn’t give homosexual couples the ability to “marry” within Israel’s borders, it nonetheless puts Israel at odds with countries such as Great Britain and the United States, neither of which recognizes foreign “gay marriages.” In fact, the U.S. government doesn’t even recognize “gay marriages” that occur within its borders in Massachusetts, the lone state where it is legal.

Pat Robertson is NO Christian. A follower of the Lord wouldn’t be spewing the hateful nonsense Robertson does daily.

I’ve always been amazed that god didn’t smite Pat Robertson. I guess that means there is no god, because any reasonable “supreme being” wouldn’t let offal like this continue to exist.

Yeah well, then I guess Pat Robertson’s god isn’t as powerful as he led us on to believe.

While the gay marriage decision is the more recent ax to grind with the religious right, he’s talking about the Republican-appointed judges who voted for Roe v Wade here.

What? What did you do? Read the article? Watch the video. Fess up, Scott.

The Christian conservatives’ perception of God continues to be one of a thin-skinned, petty, spiteful, ego-centric, malevolent, sadistically abusive, empathy-challenged, conscience-devoid, micro-managing sadist — with a regard for mankind somewhat akin to how many of them treat their wives.

Don’t care what this dinosaur thinks, his time is over; but the headline did bring to mind a lovely song by Paul McCartney. :-)

Hey, you just reminded me that Pat talks to God, and God talks back ….. so why doesn’t he just ASK ???? It doesn’t have to be one of his major sit downs, you know the ones where Pat makes an appointment, prepares a list of questions like, “Who’s going to win the Presidential race?” and God tells him, but Pat won’t tell anyone who it was going to be … …. …..

Not the first time Pat has desired his gods action:

The almighty has an awful lot of other “smotin” to do first.

  15. Tommie July 27th, 2015 at 23:38

I think the days of fire and brimstone might be over, if not, i think Republicans would get hit first for their SINS against humanity! IMO!

  16. Glen July 28th, 2015 at 00:24

Someone needs to actually ask Robertson if the fact that his god clearly isn’t smiting justices, or gay people, etc, suggests that maybe he (as in Robertson) might have misjudged god.

    • whatthe46 July 28th, 2015 at 01:05

or talking about some other dude or dudette.

  17. rg9rts July 28th, 2015 at 07:13

I’m amazed that god didn’t smite Pat for being a tiring a$$hole….She has limited patience

  18. illinoisboy1977 July 28th, 2015 at 10:34

Perhaps, because God respects the separation between church and state?

  19. NelsonRobison July 28th, 2015 at 18:49

Sadly for the Christian fundamentalists, God doesn’t exist. Here’s proof, that god doesn’t exist, he didn’t do anything when the Supreme Court outraged god’s believers by legalizing something that they say is against god, same sex marriage.

  20. cruisersailor July 29th, 2015 at 00:28

Zeus wouldn’t smite any Supreme Court justices. Well, maybe the conservative ones. They need to be punished.
